Oh dammnit another Roki... Wait WHAT
Oh dammnit another Roki... Wait WHAT
Quite possibly, was just trying to think of other ways to get people to migrate a little. As it stands, there is every reason to stay in Ul'dah, and very little reason to leave.
I think it would be a waste of time and resources to fiddle about with it now. I can put up with Uldah being busy, I can always go out of town and play the game to avoid it for the majority of the time. Okay so the new instance is busy and Natalan can be hilariously full of people farming vortex tokens. Ixali have the life expectancy of Leaping Lizzie atm. We went and did a few Cutters Cry runs instead for a change from Garuda. Loads of stuff we could have done to avoid the crowds and have fun, and so could you.
You know what we need?
To merge again, down to 5 servers

Wrong, read Yoshi's post http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post661109
We ARE now, AT THIS TIME, on 2.0 servers, but we're still on 1.0 server CODE, its all to do with the CODE, hardware is pointless if code isnt fixed.Currently we are using the high spec servers for 2.0 to try and make this stable but the server process code is still current FFXIV code so this max limit reaches before the 2.0 server code.
I didnt get it because the location is not realtime... its not where my character is now, my home nation that i picked is Uldah, not sure what that has to do with where I am in game, but oh wells, if they like the cheesey laughs.
It's hard to imagine they ever thought servers like these could support an MMO... What if it had actually been popular?
Let's try this again... NEW servers, 2.0... Understand?Indeed, 'mad traffic' equates to money. What I don't understand, is that handling high loads, and the ability to do so, is almost entirely fundamental. How on earth do SE expect a higher player pool, when they can't even cope with what they have. We all want a busy, crowded and lively playing experience as does SE. How about provide the hardware.
