Probably even at unhealthy amounts for how much time I do dedicate to learning new songs. I even have friends that have stopped asking me to do roulettes, level up characters, raid, and such because I was too busy learning to play with the performance system.

I do strive to keep improving because it is important to me. It's what makes me happy at the end of the day. It's not so much as if I'm mad that third party users "exist" when it comes to performance. I get mad when someone out of random walks up to me while I perform, and they want to join in and is basically:

>Presses the play button
"You hear that? Yeah I did that mate, I'm so good!"

That is what drives me mental.

I know a lot of people in this thread is like "You can't prove they are using macros unless...", Come on... Let's be real, it's PAINFULLY obvious. And when I do mention something, I do not accuse them of using macros, even though I know they are. I just simply state "I don't use macros". and 99% of the time it's the same response of them admitting that they are using macros, and there was this 1% where someone told me they don't either, but hooked up a midi keyboard (piano), instead, which like I said, I would be more okay with.

To some, your "content" or "progression", is raiding, or getting your crafters on, and etc.

To me it's performance. I'm very much invested in it. That's my drive to play the game, so yes, It does kill my fun when someone can "cheat" to do it better.
Just gonna regurgitate what everyone else is saying:

If you love something, do it for the love of it. What other people do, should not affect your life in the slightest when it comes to something you're doing for "love" or "passion".

Here's the hard truth: Your opinion on barding WILL NOT affect anyone else or how people play their game. You should follow suit and play the content you enjoy for the enjoyment of it. If you're focusing on what other people are doing, you're turning it into something that isn't "for the love" anymore.

Perhaps have a talk with yourself and figure out whether you're barding for the love of music or so you can be considered "better" than anyone else just because you play manually and get tips and head pats.
