    Changing my spells quickly.

    If I'm say level 60 and I want to do a level 50 dungeon. Is there a way I can change my spell rotation to the appropriate level quickly? I just entered a level 50 dungeon that had most of my spells nulled. I had a to spam ruin the whole dungeon.

    I just keep all my abilities on my hotbars at all times. That way no matter what content I end up in, I'm ready to handle it.

    Some spells or abilities like weapon skills that are replaced by a higher tier spell or ability at higher levels will simply revert to the earlier spell tier or ability in your hotbar temporarily if you're level synced down in a dungeon or other content like a FATE, but generally you need to keep individual spells and abilities as seperate icons on your hotbar and adjust your rotation accordingly. This can be a problem if you rely on muscle memory though unfortunately.

    Since the game changed everything to be trait based for spell augments the only skills you should have been missing were dreadwyrm trance, tri-disaster, pain flare and death flare. Ruin 1 traits up into ruin 3, you still had your dots which should have been on your hotbar as you need to manually cast them, if you’re relying solely on tri-disaster for your dots at level 60 you have downtime on them. Egi assault 1 and 2 should be used on cooldown, you still had fester, bane, and energy drain. The bulk of your toolkit was still available to you.

    Yeah most of them would not fire. Those higher level spells with the cool effects. I have a 24 spell rotation going, anymore would get me confused from the amount of keys it would use. As a band-aid I have made the 1st 12 low end and the the remainder high-end. That way I should be ready for anything.
    I was hoping there might be a way to swap your hotbars out with one key press.

    Your right, I did have more than the ruin spell but they where all over the place so I panicked not having the time to visually see what was available (dungeon rush) so I kept my finger on ruin.

    I maintain a specific bar for >35 content (had to run a lot of that in my relic grind) and one for 50-80. Spells for 50 content are keys 1,4,5,7,9,0. For BLM, my 0 key is T2 or T4 depending on where I am synced (a very neat trick)!

    This used to be a problem, but now old spells upgrade to new ones so when you are in older content, Ruin III would become Ruin.
