WAR’s new skill in the benchmark trailer is beyond symbolic. Our weapon disappears and we start punching armored enemies barehanded, before it magically reappears. Reminds me of how everything was stripped from us only for a watered down version to reappear after level 70.
I guess our axe breaking in the Shadowbringers trailer is the same thing as well. Highest tank damage drops to 3rd/4th, we suddenly forgot half our kit, just to sorta remember it by end game.
I get it…SE wants PLD to be god and I’m not asking for PLD to lose anything, I’m asking for the bleeding to stop. Let our damage reappear like the axe in the benchmark. Return us to something similar to our former glory. “Balancing” shouldn’t be an issue anymore since ummmm…PLD, so please.
Nascent Flash at level 76 is pointless since our original kit had bloodbath almost at start. With our skimpy list of CDs, not having it is a heavy nerf.
Every skill 70-80 is a watered down rework of things we already had. It’s ridiculous really. We were never the “simple tank”. Great WARs were the masters of aggro and death. We danced a fine line between party wipes and awe inspiring brutality. We WERE the embodiment of WAR. Now…3rd/4th in damage, a replaceable party member, all chasing Inner Release because that’s our only hope to compete.
Here’s hoping that the benchmark is a sign of things to come. The axe came back, here’s dreaming WAR comes back
