TT Open Tournament Duty Finder?

Is there a reason this isn't a thing? I really want to participate in every single one of these, but by the time the last one is over there's usually only a little more than an hour before the next one. I find that I don't want to leave the Golden Saucer because by the time I get to the area I need to be in for a quest I will have hardly any time before I have to leave and go back to the Saucer. So instead I just end up logging off in between tournaments and that's all I've been doing on my character...is log in, do a tournament, and log off until the next one starts. I really wish I could sign up from anywhere so it was easier to work on other things in between.

Where could you possibly be going that takes THAT long to get to? Aetherytes are everywhere. Basically nothing in the game is more than 3 minutes from anywhere else.

I enjoy the idea of things not in the DF.
It keeps the world alive having people need to be at the location.

I'd like it to be in the duty finder.

I have difficulty loading into populated zones.

Most of those people end up not being rendered.

Or, allow us to access Open Tournament from inside the Battlehall.

I recently got to Heavensward. Not only do I not have flying unlocked there, but the maps seem to be huge, and my mount is super slow. By the time I ride my mount all the way out to the middle of the map for my quest I'll maybe have enough time to get a couple more steps done before I have to think about heading back. Not to mention it's spendy because I'm a broke little sprout. It's just inconvenient, but I appreciate your super helpful comment. Thanks!

The way it is currently set up is fine. It's one of very few things that they actually future-proofed. No one else signing up? It's cool, just battle 3 random NPCs.

That has nothing to do with the OP's post though. You can have NPCs even if it was accessed via duty finder. The Open Tournament is still using the Duty Finder anyway, like all matchmade content in this game, you just can't queue for it via the Duty Finder for whatever arbitrary reason the devs decided.
