    Question: In-game booze effect?

    Hi, still new to the forums. I'm working on an FC event and was wondering...

    Are there any items/foods/potions in this game that mimics a buzzed/drunk effect in the player after consuming?

    For example, iirc in EQ, when imbibing in-game alcohol, the character would get progressively more drunk resulting in...

    - the screen wobbling more and more as the character imbibes more bottles
    - the character doesn't walk straight when you move it
    - your typed words appear as slurred to other characters
    - when the character stops drinking, the screen slowly wobbles less, etc, until the character is *sober* again

    that was a really fun element and I was wondering if FFXIV has any in-game items that could do that, which would be fun to use for my FC event. Thanks in advance.

    Nope. There are a handful of alcohol related emotes and items, like /toast and the champagne fireworks, but nothing that actually simulates being drunk.

    And that's a good thing. Keeps the game friendly for people who are not interested in getting stone drunk or rp'ing as such.

    Helpful to know. I was trying to setup a human darts game and thought it'd be more fun if the players were wobbling back and forth when they run + jump to hit the target. Thank you all.
