It seems to be fixed now, at least for me. Could log in without issues. Seems Vodafone rerouted some stuff. Might want to try again if you've been affected
Has anyone gotten a response as to what exactly is causing the 2002 error code problem and what can be done to fix it? I still can't play. I'm trying to be patient. I know they've just had a HUGE influx of new players leaving WoW and the number of those new players came as a surprise to Square Enix. I can sympathize with them. Sometimes success is very difficult, especially when thrust upon a company suddenly, with overwhelming numbers!
NOTE: I was going to come back and say that I got on and was playing the game. Today it happened again.
I know they are having real issues due to the huge influx of players, but I will admit to frustration because I have limited time to play since I work 40+++ hours a week. I was hoping that the problem was resolved for good, but it has come back again.
On the plus side, I did get several hours of play time before it happened again. So, there's that. I can't wait until they can get it all sorted out and going again at 100% so we all can get on and play when we try to log in. Still though, this game beats WoW hands down!

I have the same error 2002 for a week now ... I'm from France and I'm on Omega (Chaos)... it's getting really annoying. Can't log in for 30min then suddenly i'm in, it works perfectly then i'm out again for no reason ... have to wait 30min again just to get kicked out in less than an hour again .. Been playing since april before that and I had no problem..
I tried to contact SE they're not answering ..
