Squadron and Trust Systems

So hey, totally new on this forum. But I came here wanting to ask something about the Squadron and Trust System.

Is there anyway to integrate the Squadron to the Trust System? I thought I'd ask because Squadron was such a cool system, being able to recruit a bunch of NPCs to go dungeon diving without having to wait on queue. (Especially if you're like me and not always very patient.)

Trust System is basically Squadron, but better in every conceivable way and you get to team up with your favorite Scions.

But after having play the game for as long as I have, I have to wonder... What's stopping Square-Enix from making Squadron members a part of the Trust System? I'm not going to pretend I understand the nitty gritty workings that go on behind the scenes, because I don't. It just seems like such a waste that all those Squadron NPCs you could recruit are just sitting there going to waste. Especially with how many characters for Squadron actually exist.

A whopping 60 recruitable Squadron recruits according to the FFXIV wiki. Great Scott, that's a lot.

Anyway, I would like to discuss this. Who knows, you might even blow my mind with how smart everybody in community has been.

Sadly they said for the most part they have no plans on backporting the trust system to older content since the trust system required that they fully scripted out the fights and kits of each character and it would be too much time away from programming current content to work on a backport job.
