Completely! I feel that there are small perks that can be improved in the job gauges.

WAR: Inner Release having a graphical countdown diplay
NIN: The Ninjutsu charges being displayed
MNK: Dunno what they'll get in EW to make up for GL, but display that as well lol
SMN: Probably with big changes incoming, but Further Ruin stacks being tracked. I would even delete the Dreadwyrm Aether counter past level 74, as it serves to no purpose anymore by then.
BLM: This is the only job where I have to be constantly micromanaging Mana. With that said, a Mana counter in the middle of their gauge, so we don't have to bring that ugly parameter bar up everytime I use this job.
BRD: Add a visual counter during Mage's Ballad to indicate that the proc is ready. We have just a very suble visual indicator that can go unnoticed very easily.

Other than that, a little unrelated, it would be nice if they could let us make a macro to track just procs.

For example /actrack "Fan Dance III", being a command that only made the macro visible when the ability was usable. This way I could move a hotbar to the middle of the screen and add said macroes there and have them pop up as they become available.

I actually do this already for my UI, so I don't have to keep looking down to my bars to track my procs down, but it kind of clutters the screen a bit. I've tried to play with the Enhancements panel, but most of the time it keeps track of all sorts of other benefical effects that I don't need to keep up with.

Monk used to have one that tracked it's Greased Lightning, which I was honestly surprised didn't get adjusted to be the twin snakes timer.

But as for even that skill along with plenty of the others, you refresh them naturally by doing your rotation so you don't really need to track them, unlike Huton which you have to use a different end move to your rotation in order to maintain it.

I do agree with the comment, though, about getting a spot on the summoner job hud to track stacks of further ruin.

No. Please, god, no. Not more doubtlessly obligatory UI bloat.

If they're somehow actually optional this time, sure, but even then I'd rather we go the way of allowing us to put our job core-skill duration trackers back on the status bar...

You are aware you can simplify nearly every single UI Widget to something like a tiny bar or a pair of boxes... Right?

Although I kind of get wanting the option to see some of those as buffs again. If one would prefer, Huton or Darkside could easily be made into a buff, I believe. And I ain't gonna complain about having more UI customization!

Yes. First thing I did for each. Are you aware the Simple Gauge UI option is still going to split up my buff display further than, well, not splitting it, as per before the widgets' addition?

Yeah, like I said, I can respect wanting options for UI customization. I don't see how tracking a buff that can be lost among a dozen others can help but hey, some people just got used to it, it wouldn't be fair to remove it from them without an option of having it back. And some of the Widget stuff, like SMN Aetherflow stacks, have both Widgets AND the tiny buff displayed, so why not have it that way, right?

I don't even think you need to make it an option to display the buff or not, mainly because it will show up to a healer that clicks on you and it would be weird to click on a Warrior and not see Storm's Eye. And Widgets can already be turned off, so you can have it that way. I'm definitely not arguing that we need to remove the tiny buffs. I want MORE information, not less.

Oh, for sure. My point was more that such have been the outliers; most buffs moved to the new widgets can no longer be seen via the buff display. They're gone. Thus, if even more are to be moved over to widgets, I'd want assurances that I could also keep them on my Status Effects (Enhancements) bar.

Personally, the largest boon for me would be in being able to order buff types, or even specific ones, along with which go where, between Primary and Auxiliary (both currently just "Enhancements") or be filtered out completely, and "Other" buffs. Ideally, I'd do the same with debuffs, on self and the target, as all I need to see from others are CC and vulnerabilities afflicted.

While UI elements would be cool for key buffs like shifu jinpu or whatever. i honestly would be fine if they just had filters on the status bars.. so i could essentially turn off icons for all the buffs i dont really give a monkeys about..

the problem with buffs imo is the status bar can easily become so cluttered with buffs seeing the key ones at a glance becomes a real pain.

its the same issue with the debuff bar on bosses especially in larger scale content.. are those my bard dots or someone elses. has another ninja put trick attack up or should iuse mine.. there's s much clutter on those bars it'd be so nice to filter stuff thats meaningless to me..

I'm a samurai. what do i care if if the blm has thunder on the boss or the scholar has bio i dont need to see those icons ever.. but seeing chain strategam or tricvk attack or something would be great without having to see all the useless clutter.

same goes back to the buff bar as well. i dont care if i have a card on me or not thats not my job i dont need that clutter on my bar. just let

    filters would help so much.

they do have a show only detrimental status effects you inflict but that often doesnt help. as again you cant see if another ninja has put trick attack up or something such. and it doesnt work on healers as if the boss puts a debuff on a player you cant see it because you didnt inflict it so its hidden.

Yup, that's my primary concern. At best there's, like, a display priority on debuffs of the target. So if you have your Higanbana up, it would be the first debuff to show, then something important like Trick Attack or Chain Strat, and then just the DoTs. And you know which is yours by the color on the timer, so a green timer means the debuff was applied by you.

And that isn't enough for some things. I'd like to keep my buffs on the same priority when I'm playing the class. If I let Storm's Eye fall-off and someone gave me Plenary Indulgence and a Card, I don't want Storm's Eye to be hidden behind those. That would go a long way torwards being able to keep up with your own key buffs.

But I still think a really cool UI Widget to look at would be even better, only because I like how the non-simplified stuff looks. I'd probably be satisfied with a number on the Wildfire marker for every Weaponskill I put under it, so the Icon have 6 stages to let me know if I managed to put the 6 GCDs in them. But we could have a cool counter by the train-bar, that seems more fun.
