Hotbars, Gearsets, Game Settings, Inventory sorting, and other stuff resets itself.

I need help figuring out how to fix this issue. I have a PS4 Pro, and while playing the game, all my skills in the cross hotbar just reset to default. Inventory that was initially sorted, is no longer sorted. All my gearsets were gone. I think the only thing that didn't change was the HUD Layouts. I've never had this issue on PC before, but I also know that on PC you can just download the settings externally and save it somewhere as a backup, but I don't see that option for the PS4?

Edit: The PC and PS4 are different accounts.

The first time this happened was when I haven't played this in a few months, came back, and everything was reset to default, and all my saved gearsets were gone. Then it happened again earlier today, not sure what the cause was, but in the middle of playing, all of my hotbars were reset, and everything else too went back to default, except the HUD layout. Why is this happening?

Please help, can't play this game if I have to manually set everything up over and over again.

Your PS4 may have a hardware issue developing.
Possibly an issue with it's hard drive.
You can remove the HD, slave it to a PC, then use a drive health tester, like CrystalDiskInfo, to see if it has any issues. - https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskinfo/
I do not know of a way to have the PS4 self test the drive without performing a Rebuild Database function.

But I have no issues with any other game though? Will it still be a hardware issue?

If the hard drive has some bad sectors and the data that is for FF14's settings is stored on one of those sectors, then it will cause FF14 to glitch, but not other games that do not read/write to those sectors.
I'm not saying that is 100% your issue, but it can be and is a simple enough test to see.

Will drive failure cause just the hotbar settings and saved gearsets to reset mid gameplay? Wouldn't it cause the entire game to just straight up crash?

If it is a HD issue, anything is possible.
