I think Koji Fox himself had acknowledged many times the dearth of lore regarding Keepers of the Moon and the Duskwight, especially when contrasted with their Seeker/Wildwood counterparts.
There are, of course, hints that the Keepers arrived in Eorzea at a different period of time than the Seekers, and quite possibly didn't spend much time in Ilsabard (if at all), contrary to the Seekers who explicitly crossed the Jade Sea from Ilsabard to Gyr Abania during the Endless Frost. Combined with the implication that the Miqo'te homeland is actually Meracydia, and that many Keeper surnames trace back to the First Astral Era (and not, it must be noted, Seekesr of the Sun), I find it likely that Keepers probably came directly from Meracydia to Eorzea at some point, probably later than the arrival of Seekers, and retained their traditional culture that the Seekers had lost over time.
This presents a great opportunity to go further in depth for Keeper history and beliefs, how it managed to survive the various eras, and what sort of things they managed to retain vs what was twisted or lost.
I mean, there was considerable discussion in the 5.3 story about how history is learned, not lived, and how easily history is forgotten over time. That even surnames managed to survive a good ten thousand years is a strong counter to that, though it remains to be seen how relevant a fact like that truly is, given how long it's been since it was stated.
Considering that Endwalker is going to focus its story on the moon, do you think we'll finally see some deeper Keeper history/culture? I would be bitterly disappointed if we didn't.
