Am I missing something?

I am trying to find Denton from the quest 'King of the hill' He is suppose to me according to the marker on the upper deck ot limsa I have searched high and low for him on every deck and I am right on the marker but no Denton.
I'm I missing something or is it a bug?

You're probably above him. Although Limsa is divided into the "upper" and "lower" decks, each one has multiple vertical levels. There's a ramp that wraps around the adventurer's guild and lets you access the area he's waiting. Someone even made a video showing it here:

Oh thanks for the vid, I never knew that ramp was there. I was taking the stairs and lift. He seems to be in-between levels and that is was had me confused. The product of a nasty dev " Ill hide this guy so no one can find him"

If this is the quest im thinking it is, he's actually hiding because he doesnt want anyone to overhear what he's about to tell you. Limsa being a town of pirates, he'd rather not have to compete with anyone else for his shot at the treasure haul he thinks he's located.

Something I am finding out is that this game really does run with the story right down to small details. If I had not been so impatient and had read the quest properly I might have been aware of this.
