Are levels cumulative?

Good day!

Very new and trying to read what information I can wherever I can find it.

I read that one can join Grand Companies at level 22. Are levels cumulative across skills?

For example, does one need to be lvl 22 as, for example, and archer?
Or can they be a lvl 12 archer, lvl 5 lancer, lvl 5 thaumaturge?

Hello Ethias!

All your classes have their own level. When there's a level requirement for a quest, it's enough when one of your classes is high enough even if you're currently on another class. Hope this cleared it up.

So one would need to have at least one class at level 22 (referring back to the original example), although you currently could be working in a class which is below that.

Not cumulative. You need to get a class all the way to 22 but should be able to do that in a couple hours through leves if you solo.

Right you can be any class you want when you talk to the guy to get the quest as long as you have a class high enough, but if you have to go do a battle quest for the requirement you will need to be the lvl 22 class to enter the instance
