I play a transgender character, I want to do that without just using a female model, and I'm left struggling to put together outfits. I thought that this would have been made more available given the wedding outfits and statements from YoshiP, but alas, you keep releasing items that look different on male/female models and there is no way to use the opposite sex's outfits, except a handful of universal items.
It's... Not that easy. Making them not gender locked means they have to re-fit the outfit for the male/female model.

And tbh that "handful" statement is such an overstatement. Raid gear, tome gear, dungeon gear, Bozja gear, they all are universal iirc (except for some minor changes for zadnor gear).

Yes, maybe it's not "that easy", but it's certainly something that could be easily done, especially for items sold for 13 euros.

And sure there are many unisex glams, but people who want genderlocks to be removed or reduced, are talking about explicitly masculine outfits for female bodied characters, and explicitly feminine outfits for male bodied characters. As a player of the former, I can assure that the former is extremely limited in options, there's no arguing around it, and I would like that to change.
