I'll put it in a different way, I don't want unlocked job gear for the same reason other players don't want unlocked Hempen sets or unlocked standing/sitting positions.
Selfishness or seriousness, call it whatever but that is my standing position. I wouldn't want other roles robbing me of my exclusiveness in the right of wearing a given role set.
Now, level 1 glamour sets and the crafted ones being mentioned ... well, they mustn't be very role-defining or they have no role at all like most MogStation outfits.
The issue with megathreads is that they're beholden to the whims of the original poster. We have absolutely seen cases where a poster is willing to tweak the original post to edit in new relevant requests/references to what has been asked for by people responding to the thread in good faith.
Unfortunately we have also had original posters who, for example, decided to deliberately hide away certain requests and references behind a spoiler box in order to promote only those that they themselves desired. With no real attempt made to compromise.
There are a ton of actual gear sets, not just level 1 glams, that are not role defining. What exactly is role defining about say, the Aiming Nyr sets? The shisui sets? The pagl'than sets? And you sometimes get sets where honestly, other sets make sense for a given job. Like for example say the late allagan pvp aiming set only really fits mch, brd and dancer would be better represented by the melee or caster versions of that set. You often have shared models between melee and aiming, or tanking and maiming, casting/healing etc, diluting things further.I'll put it in a different way, I don't want unlocked job gear for the same reason other players don't want unlocked Hempen sets or unlocked standing/sitting positions.

Sets don't generally have any real 'role identity' outside of the tanking an sometimes dragoon sets being slightly more armored. And even then the addition of reaper's bloodbornesque asethetic sharing gear with the traditionally much more armored looking dragoon is going to be a bit odd for example.
Based off there thread history

for a year, would you rather be secretly filmed at random moments and have the footage uploaded to your social media or loose $100 when ever you said a curse word?
You were the original poster in the thread you linked me earlier though? I assume that's still relevant and could be picked up again without the need for a separate megathread about it? But I guess you can't trust anyone these days, not even yourself? The issue with megathreads is that they're beholden to the whims of the original poster. I really don't see why it has to be this complicated but enjoy the ponytails and dresses you'll probably get in the future then, I guess.

I really wouldn't call anything role defining besides our arms. We have seen roles share glamours since the beginning of the game, so the lock due to role identity is already a lost point.
Not to mention that it isn't limited to casters, melee, and tanks, either. Samurai shared healer glamour for an Eden tier. It's really silly to not just throw all the appearances on lvl 1 glamour at this point.
You picked on my post specifically, which was more about locks in general. If you wanna talk something out, my dms are open to you.

It was a few pages, and I don’t want to dig through the fighting, but the idea of buying the mog station set and the main portion, a dress for example, staying gender locked is fine. Then the parts that could honestly be unisex, the shoes, gloves, and accessories, being available to everyone could always be a nice addition. Like I said I do not want dresses for my character, but certain shoes or gloves would like nice. Yes I know that would be certain items being modeled for all character body types but it would open glamour up in various ways. A heeled shoe or sandal isn’t to my knowledge “cross dressing”
Well plenty of shoes only have one model already, I'm not sure about gloves. It was a few pages, and I don’t want to dig through the fighting, but the idea of buying the mog station set and the main portion, a dress for example, staying gender locked is fine. To be fair they have the disclaimer that online interactions are not rated by the ESRB.I totally forgot about the fact that this game is rated T for Teens. For them to keep pushing this lifestyle in a game that's rated for underage children is crossing the line. If I had a child and they kept allowing men to wear dresses I would not let them play this game. Underage children should not be exposed to this lifestyle. If I was a parent I want my children to procreate, and I will do everything within my power to unsure my bloodline continues. The promotion of this lifestyle goes against that.
