Many may like talking about how it's the 'right' thing, but is the 'right' thing a justifiable enough reason to use up even more resources on something only a fraction of the playerbase would actually use?

No one cares what anyone's wearing.
People care what it means for future gear/glamour design and what gets cut so that they can add cross dressing. As someone who plays a male character I don't want the 2B copied factory glamour to become what we see more of. For that I would make a female character.

Your kind of contradicting yourself....your saying no one cares...while at the same time showing how much you would care if you saw more of this type of glamour.
And you're not going to, the 2B glamour is part of another series that was a collaboration for Shadowbringers and Neir: Automata
Thats type of gear isn't going to be the norm going foreword. Some sexy glams will appear, but this isn't a Korean MMO where Sex appeal is the main theme.

I have few items from ex-fem-only sets that I use in my glamours unironically. I'm not represantive to the community obviously, but since you ask - here's your answer. There are also plenty female characters players that are tired of having endless amount of almost identical short skirts when guys get pants for same item.

Thing is - literally everything they create will be used by "only by a fraction of the playerbase". It's not the reason to not create it, when SE themselves showed plenty of times that it's not the major factor they care about. Otherwise we would still sit here with haircuts only from 2.0 and no additional glamours whatsoever, because majority of them is used by a minority on a daily basis.

My guess would be quite a few. I've seen a lot of male characters wear the school skirt, something that would have normally been genderlocked to only female. The gold saucer bunny outfit is another good example. And so what if someone does want to wear it ironically? Just because something may look garish and funny to you doesn't mean it looks that way to others.

I won't lie, I think the particularly feminine dresses created specifically with the female form in mind (feminine body features) do look pretty terrible on male characters, but that's not the actual reason I am against this given priority. As I have stated for years, it's the supposed lack of resources, and I'd rather see other long time requests implemented beforehand. Like the hempen sets being converted to all races, as I stated prior. That or more new gear in general, of various kinds.
