That's a misconception entirely, base skeleton =/= base mesh, plus male models don't have breasts and have a wider frame in general, there's no elegant way of adding those with the way you described.Pretty much. The entire process of transferring the finished model from one race/sex combo to another should largely be automated since all playable models should be using the same base skeleton with different width/length of their body parts and the only notable differences between a male and female character is breasts, hips and possibly the butt, all of which should already be included in these weights. Only two things that should need an through check is helmets due to different head shapes and attachments such as shoulderpads, cloaks, belts and other doodads not tied to the base model.
