    Many people think one not gender locked attire is less work. It's the same. BUT for people who don't want some kind of crossdressing, it means they have to build an alternative design, then it's twice of work.

    Now, for Ryne dress, it's twice more work since it's a woman body based shape they have to adapt to the different male body shapes. The reason is topology, skeletons and shape keys are not the same for both genders. Copy past is not really the best idea when you work with two topologies.

    From what I know they have 19 models (NPC and playable characters), 15 for playable characters. It means for one unisex top, they have to be sure it works on 15 body shapes.
