to be honest i was hoping for a male version of the bunny suit, i would have loved a sexy outfit version for males, but we basically got a copy paste ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
but true, people were so vocal about it but you rarely see one wearing it.

I think the confusion came with the way people were wording the request. "We want a male bunny suit" isn't the equivalent of "we want a male version of the bunny suit". Though to be fair a Chip'N Dales outfit is easy to pull off as is. All you'd be missing is the bowtie collar.

I should probably rephrase. For me it’s moreso a thing of, there are much more pressing matters (male glams) that affect a much larger portion of the playerbase and have had requests for much much longer than this ungenderlocking issue does/has. That should be taken care of and resources should be put towards that first instead of a niche option that only benefits a minority.Personally I don't consider anything requested as a "waste of resources". What bugs me is the way in which people go about those requests. While I don't really care for the notion of perpetuating "nonconformity", more glamour options isn't a bad thing. However, I would prefer something like that to be solely the decision of the developers.

From my roaming through various threads on this forum over the years people make it seem like ungenderlocking has been the longest, most sought after feature ever, but I dunno. Personally I prefer to have unique things for each gender/race and removing that removes any reason to have different genders/races. Ultimately if the devs decide to go through with it more power to them. Just so long as they do it of their own accord and not because of the shrieking minority.I should probably rephrase. Yeah, i really don’t see why they didn’t just create a male version of it, especially since according to yoshi, designing the female design for males made the devs “uncomfortable.” Then like…don’t be lazy and make a male version instead lmao.
I mean i do agree with this. It seems to be an unpopular opinion with the overall community but really, we should be seeing major improvements each expansion. ShB as a whole just felt like downgrade after downgrade. From glams, to raids, to story etc. I agree with you that we should be able to get things without losing out on other things, especially given how much money this expansion has made. Unfortunately though that just doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. The team itself isn’t very transparent, so we know very little about the going-ons in the background. I wouldn’t be surprised though if a lot of our funds are being shoveled into other SE projects. I mean, we lost members of the HW team to be put towards ff16. If they had stayed who knows what improvements we could have seen. And I really think people should ask better from SE especially with the growing popularity of XIV rather than put each other's wishes down in fear of a drop in quality. We should be able to get more new things without other aspects of the game or system suffering for it in the future because the game is not stagnating, whether we will or not is something else.

I don't see there any lack of masculine options, to be completely frank. If anything, there's too much of it for my taste. Your daily reminder that "traditonal bruh bruh" varies from culture to culture.People are free to disagree with subjective opinions.
Furthermore, I'd argue that the concerns being raised as a counter to the unlock are more than valid when removing the gender lock on hairstyles led to less options for those of us who like traditionally masculine aesthetics.
Nobody is obligated to bend over backwards to support niche aesthetics at every possible turn. Variety is the spice of life and it's time the pendulum began swinging in the other direction once more, even if it's only temporarily.
ZedxKayn pointed out more than validly that instead of turning down other people for wanintg something you don't want to have regarding glamours, we can and should ask for both. There's a good chance that both won't happen at the same time, but it doesn't mean that people have to jump on each other or say "it shouldn't happen because I want to have more masculine glamours", whatever this goddamned word means at this point. Surprise, but you aren't the center of the universe, just as no one else is. What people should do is voicing their wishes and then developer will decide what they want to do - they aren't small kids, they know what they want and can do and so they will when they decide so. Also the rising demand for various things is a good indicator for them and their that they need to ask for more budget and more people resources. If people stay shut - they'll never know that there's demand to begin with.
That said, ofc you're free to agree to disagree. I merely stated the fact - people in this thread don't hear each other, neither they want to, if answers in this discussion are anything to go by.

"Yes, say what you want, disagree!!! But I hate the fact that you're disagreeing with female clothes on males"
