STOP Genderlocking Cosmetics!!

How many players would actually wear dresses, panties, and the like, unironically? That means no joke sets, dressed up alt (that is barely played), or just people saying they would (they don't). Many may like talking about how it's the 'right' thing, but is the 'right' thing a justifiable enough reason to use up even more resources on something only a fraction of the playerbase would actually use?

My guess would be quite a few. I've seen a lot of male characters wear the school skirt, something that would have normally been genderlocked to only female. The gold saucer bunny outfit is another good example. And so what if someone does want to wear it ironically? Just because something may look garish and funny to you doesn't mean it looks that way to others.

I won't lie, I think the particularly feminine dresses created specifically with the female form in mind (feminine body features) do look pretty terrible on male characters, but that's not the actual reason I am against this given priority. As I have stated for years, it's the supposed lack of resources, and I'd rather see other long time requests implemented beforehand. Like the hempen sets being converted to all races, as I stated prior. That or more new gear in general, of various kinds.

No don't you understand, SE doesn't have someone to take care of scheduling and workload for them. They RELY on the forum to figure that stuff out for them! I'm just glad we all have all the details about their man-power and workflow so we can make these educated decisions for them. *nod nod*

Considering they couldn’t even give us a 9s glam yeah no it seems like it’s pretty difficult for them . I’d rather that workload go towards making other glams rather than glams a very niche portion of the audience will use. You seem very knowledgeable on the workings of game designing though. Care to share your qualifications?

and apparently nier is gonna get some continuation in the future

When the gender lock was removed for hairstyles the design direction shifted to an abundance of overly feminine and androgynous designs that somehow manage to be too long for the typical male character and too short for the typical female character.

all the hair styles we have gotten recently are just contest design winners they are catching up on or cosplay hair styles
nothing to do with gender unlocking hairs

When there's an established trend for content to be cut in the name of niche pursuits it isn't at all unreasonable for players to not want to see a lot of focus on niche pursuits.

When the gender lock was removed for hairstyles the design direction shifted to an abundance of overly feminine and androgynous designs that somehow manage to be too long for the typical male character and too short for the typical female character.

I'd rather not see the same thing happen with glamour as well.

Thirded and I like Yoko Taro's work. It has a weird, somber aesthetic that's always appealed to me. But when I want to play NieR or Drakengard I play NieR or Drakengard (PS: Friends don't let friends actually play Drakengard).

That said I am pretty sure Yoko Taro was doing a Yoko Taro and there is no more NieR content. Didn't Yoshi P already say no more crossovers? At least ones of that size. An Alliance Raid is too huge a part of an expansion to be a crossover.
