After almost 15 years of playing WoW and other mmos I always for some reason go with the short races. So when I started playing FF14 I knew for some reason my first serious leveling character was going to be a lalafell. And it is my main character as of right now.

Male elezen. If not for their off proportions (little heads) and stiff animations I'd still play one. They're still my favorite to look at when they're not moving though.

Honestly, I don't think I can really pick a "favourite" race. I mean, my main is a female elezen, but that's less to do with the appearance or lore of them in FFXIV and more that I wanted to replicate my old Dungeons & Dragons character into the game. Gridania is my favourite city though, so they have that going for them!

My other character is a female miqo'te, but that's just because I'm a total weeb and couldn't pass up the chance to play a catgirl kunoichi.

However, I have to give props to all the lalas out there. I think they've really earned their place as the iconic "Master Race" of FFXIV in a way, lol. They have a really adorable and unique identity that is impossible to ignore. If this game were more accommodating toward having alt characters, I think I'd have to also play a potato myself!

Up to now it would have to be my Norn female Arcanist/summoner. I gave a few others a try before settling down with my arc. Female Arcanist is super useful, producing some really whoosh, bang and sparkle spells, has a colourful buddy, 3 of them infect, that can be cute or nasty looking. Female because she prances the glamour much better than the male

Hmm.... male Elezen and male Au'Ra.

I really love most of the time pointy ears people in games or movies and male au'ras looks really badass.

I would say male vieras too but we only see the character creation (but they look really pretty)
