Mnk is definitely one of if not the fastest job at max level. It does have a lot of positional requirements for good damage but is fun if you like a combo master job. Keep in mind it will likely get a big shakeup in November. As said above Mch feels fast due to all it's oGCD where you're basically always doing something. Try everything out, see what you like. That's the great thing about FFXIV vs other MMO. You're not limited at what jobs you play. Unless you're Blue Mage.

Thank you all. Right now i'm thinking to level both NIN and RDM to 80, because i love their utility and mobility. And probably sometimes leveling my SAM to higher levels to check what it is.

I agree. MNK, NIN, BRD, MCH are going to feel like your fastest jobs.

You sound so very much like me. Fast paced and mobility are what you look for! I’m kind of the same with SAM and NIN being in the low 60s and struggling with them but, I do know they get better.

I’d like to suggest DRG. It starts so damn slow I know but, it really picks up pace with ogcds which, it has a lot of. More than any other job I’m sure. It really has such a busy feel to it.

It’s mobile too with all the different jumps it has. I find myself evasive jumping forward just for the hey of it. Honestly I started levelling back in the day and kept putting it down it felt so slow. I very much regret taking my time with it and it has become my favourite job hands down.

Give it a good go. It’ll be a slug at the start but, it just gets more and more fun as you add to the toolkit.

What do you guys think about MCH?
I tryed it only in PotD, but looks very fun. Huge damage and ranged.

A key thing to remember on DPS is that it's built on a scale. Some jobs have higher dps but no party buffs while others have lower dps but raise up the groups total dps. Also Physical Ranged (BRD, MCH, DNC) how something we call movement tax meaning that since it can run around the entire ring dps, it has a lower dps output that say blm which requires you to stand still and cast. Also keep in mind that while at earlier levels the 2.5s GCD seems slow, higher level start adding OGCD skills to fill that gap. Level 70 is were you'll really start see how a job plays. But back to your original question, yes MCH is very busy at level 80

Here is a video that might help you decide on what job to play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_vH-1WZQ3A

MCH is fairly fast paced due to its Hypercharge rapidfire combo - 1.5 GCD + Alternate between Heat Blasts + Gauss Round + Richocet. The other skills are much slower in comparison -Heavy Hitting GCD attacks, but because the speed at which you recharge Gauss Round and Richocet in the later levels is much faster and you can stack to 3 charges per skill, it becomes much more fast paced feel because you're consistently using oGCDs for a more sustained momentum. It's a bit on the slow side, but a lot faster because of the oGCD feel.

NIN has a 2 sec GCD so they're naturally a lot faster, but they burst windows have a huge APM increase because of how much skills / damage goes into their Trick Attack Window.

MNK is slow at first, but it ramps up speed with more stacks of Greased Lightning. Now as a passive trait, your GCD is extremely low at higher levels, so you're constantly attacking real fast. It doesn't have much oGCDs, but rather requires you to nail every positional within the lower GCD to do high damage.

I've just started playing last week so I'm new here. Started as THM then swtiched to Lancer cause I thought melee dps seem cooler more to do. At first I was struggling big time especially from lvl 1 to 15 with just hunting log. Then I realized I can do battle leve quest which gave me huge EXP. I was able to catch up to my level 37 BLM in a day and continue the MSQ. Not sure about training BLM at higher level but for me atm doing Battle Levelquest while queuing for duty seem to be really efficient thus far. I could be wrong.

I don't think that you should worry about GCD, things speed up a lot.

NIN actually feels slower to me most of the time, during the burst phases it's fast but during the downtime when you're doing your 123 combo and ninki finisher which is what you'll be doing most of the time it's on the slower side.
Note tho that I am talking about how it feels, not the actual APM I haven't looked up that ( mudras add a lot to that ).
But I main MNK and I never feel like things are too slow on SAM, DRG, NIN, GNB or any of the casters which is mainly what I otherwise play.

DNC is a bit RNG but much like NIN it has bursty moments and then slower phases.

In the end of the day tho this game is very balanced, you can play whatever you want and it will be viable.
Just think about what you like the most thematically and go for that, things play very differently at max level.
That's why I've stuck with MNK since ARR.

While that is true, the meta GCD is very easy to and fast to reach and anything over that is not ideal.
In some cases it can even mess your timings up, on MNK for example you very easily end up with SKS bloat which misalings your burst phase and on NIN you want to avoid SKS.
It makes it harder to double-weave too which NIN does and your mudras are not affected by SKS which makes it a very weak stat for NIN.

SAM does have GCD breaking points where things align well you just adapt your filler phase to it, but others like NIN and MNK are more negatively affected by it than SAM.
On NIN a lot of your damage will just be totally unaffected by SKS which makes it pointless and on MNK as soon as you go over 1.96 your burst phase alignment begins to become messy ( not to mention that more crits = more chakras ).
Basically you just want to reach the bare-minimum on most things and then avoid it like the plague.

Obviously if you just want to play that way you can, but it probably shouldn't be recommended and on a lot of Jobs it'll just mess things up.
