emerald weapon extreme is quite possibly the worst extreme trial this expansion

A bit OT but I think all the extremes are poopoo this expansion in terms of rewards. Except titania and hades (which was saved by god tier crafted variants)

As for mechanics, emerald is def aids to deal with. I can't count how many times I died to swords to stormtroopers before I finally figured out. Introducing a "random" element sets of rails a lot of players who are used to a scripted dance.

I think every EX this expansion has been called both the "easiest", "boring" and the "worst" in turn on these forums.

Personally I found them all fine. Minor gripes with some. Most were too easy. SoS was a good fight but PF was hell. But I did them all, got the mounts (had to do Emerald 99 times) and it kept me occupied and happy. Sure they could do even better, but could have been a lot worse.

Stormtroopers were very simple, but I noticed most guides over-complicated it, especially the second one. I noticed groups trying to watch the moving fire pattern and avoid it while trying to dodge the troops at the same time. In reality it's 2 short dodges, the safe spots only come in 2 patterns and you ignore the fire entirely.

I don't agree completely, a few good extremes came after Zurvan i.e. Shinryu and Tsukuyomi. Although I also think that the primals in Shadowbringers are all bad

Weapons were so boring and ugly. I really disliked it compared to the Four Lords ( but enjoyed the story though, we need more Gaius !) and I'm glad we're done with this fan service.

I don't know. I enjoyed Emerald. I thought Diamond was hot garbage. Disappointing OST, lots of standing around waiting for him to be targetable, the only interesting mechanic was "Flood Ray", and even then just barely.

Not saying Emerald was perfect, there was a lot of down time there too, but I was actually doing something instead of just standing there waiting for Diamond to stop being a coward and actually fight us.

Keep in mind, I haven't cleared all of the EX trials this expansion, and this is the expansion I jumped into EX trials.

I'll be honest, I don't like ANY of the Weapon fights, even on Normal. They all annoy and frustrate me.

I liked the Four Lords a lot more (Although catching Hell's Kier on a bad day is a nightmare).

Emerald EX is an okay to me. It took me a while but the pic that technole uploaded was exactly what I did after I try to hard-sketch the mechanic patterns on a paper. I admit I still find Diamond is the most exciting of all ShB EX trials though.

emerald has great music but i feel like the fast paced gaius gunshots are pure spaghettis code. similar to how people couldnt dodge titan in Arr launch. my friend has got some footage of stuff he should've gotten hit by ,but didn't. and everyone else died... so yeah...that kind of faster mechs is spaghetti in this game
