Legacy Achievements

I'm certainly not the only one who started playing after A Realm Reborn, and I'm not the only one who wanted a reward for content prior to this update, I wanted to give you a tip here that would make all players smile from ear to ear . Bring up an event where it was possible to get some of the rewards (mainly the titles). Please Square Enix, bring an event so we can get the legacy titles. PLEASE YOU WOULD MAKE ME THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD.

Make a time machine and go back and support the game when it was in a poor condition. That'll get you the titles and achievements.

Some things should remain exclusive to those who stuck with the game through it's worst time.

Those that gave proof to SE that the game was worth spending more time and money on to try to save.

Titles and cosmetic items are the things that should remain exclusive to legacy players.

As someone who also didn't get these things...I'm gonna have to say no to this. Whoever stuck around for that mess earned their exclusives.

Always thought titles are the least painful thing to miss out on, and if there had to be a one time thing that it would be titles. . . I was thinking to say titles in and of themselves are eh, but I suppose it's a little funny because I do like the <Divine Crusher> and that happens to be one of the legacy titles. . . xD

Exactly this-- I second that.

As Seera also said, some things should remain absolutely exclusive to those who stuck with the game through it's most horrendous time-- even after every media outlet on the planet condemned the game, I stuck with it because I genuinely believed in the recovery roadmap that Yoshi and Yoichi Wada laid out back then -- heck, Yoichi even resigned his position as CEO because of 1.0's problems. It was a truly brutal time.

I continue to be amazed at how many of my suggestions made it in-game (17 out of 24 and counting) and I'm humbled at how the Devs kept re-inviting certain number of us to all the Alpha/Beta tests. Those Legacy titles are sacrosanct and reflect the Legacy players' support and loyalty to the Devs even when things got unbelievably ugly and should never be marginalized or tampered with.

They probably never will, which is a pity because some of them are pretty fun, but there's a really aggrandizing status held to legacy stuff just because it was 1.x. Never mind that the achievements themselves (just like 95% of achievements in the game) were completely trivial, can't you see they're on a pedestal because you had to have played a worse game seven years ago?

It has nothing to do with difficulty of the achievements.

Its about the legacy. no pun intended.

If it matters so little to you, then you shouldn't care if they stay exclusive, and hey, if they matter that much, maybe you should have played the game.

I'm not a Legacy player (started just before HW launch).

I disagree. The Legacy players supported this game at a time when everyone else had given up. If it weren't for them, the game would not here today.

They deserve to have those remnants of a dead game remain unique to them.
