What would you do if you had control over FFXIV?

Can you source that? I haven't seen anything of him talking about money issues or sources. I'm kind of curious to see it if you can find the video or article on it.

Honestly it was from an interview long past, a japanese one at that but i could try to find it. Japanese articles are far harder to find because well...i’m not fluent . I thought it was something everyone knew though and that’s why people are so eager to spend on mogstation stuff. I know for a fact he said it about the mogstation i just can’t remember if he said it about subs or not although i would assume and hope it’s subs as well.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see. I tried to Google the heck out of it as people were saying not much funding but I couldn't find anything even close to that. So it'll be interesting. But regardless, just means if somehow one of us did manage to get leadership, we'd have some fundraising to do! LMAO

Their dev pool is limited to those who live in Japan and speak Japanese expanding isn't the easiest with such a huge restriction on who you hire. Also avengers was made by Eidos-Montreal the guys who made Deus Ex. SE doesn't develop that they only publish it (not to say they don't spend money on it but it's not them doing the hiring and the like)

Language is the biggest reason splitting your dev team between an EN speaking team and JP speaking team would likely make it really messy I would imagine, plus security would likely be another one. Not sure how big an impact ff16 had but the split was 6 years ago so who knows tbh

I'll start by getting rid of ARR, the number of quest that it consists in the fact of deserving to fight a primals, while it threatens your city.

The minion quests (carrying crates for an old man), when you're supposed to be the hero of Erzea and blah blah blah.

Deleting the potato race, because it doesn't look like anything.


I'll add the possibility of being able to shoot MSQ situations where our WoL is shocked when you randomly threaten him with 'the one who gets killed after the fight at Castrum Flumini' (avoid spoiler).
Wait, I kill primals at breakfast from where you are shocked and you don't answer when a guy like him threatens you? WoL remains shocked after he leaves.
Because well, the script facilities where, there is unsaid, it's lazy writing.

1. Add an ingame parser.
2. Remove the cash shop.
3. Remove the stupid player and GM policy. You should be allowed to say what you want without being banned. BDO and WoW manage pretty fine.
4. The option to turn off the glamours of other players.
5. Make all the new housing zones mansions and quadruple the prices. If you want it, go earn it, just like real life.
6. Add a WoW token system to combat RMT and so the long term players can save some money.
7. Remove the "permanent" caution/suspension status etc on your account after x amount of years.
8. Restructure the roulettes, remove the MSQ one, stick the Expert and 80 one together, and stick the Levelling and 50/60/70 ones together but give more rewards.
9. Add Spanish, Russian, Portugese and at least one MENA language (Arabic/Turkish?) as subtitles at least.
10. Make BLU fit as a tank, healer and different types of DPS (Ranged/Melee/Mage) based on 24 required abilities.
11. Add meaningful endgame PvP content, that has full loot PvP systems with important limited resources that affect economy. Lifeskillers got Ishgard and PvErs got Bozja/Eureka. PvPers get nothing.
12. Designate servers as Noob orientated, Language based, RP/non RP etc.
13. Add some form of Server Vs Server or Guild Vs Guild World PvP Content
14. Add a glamour log.
15. Free jump potions to expansion before newest one e.g. Stormblood now and a level skip e.g. to 60
16. Add some way to earn a few retainers in game e.g. 100m gil or something.
