What is the purpose of When Pigs Fly?
E-Z!!! To grow and spend time with others who like to play Final Fantasy XIV primarily, and sometimes other games that are important to us (I see you WoW-ers). PIGS want to see players new and old enjoy the content of the game, helping each other along the way on their journeys, and just ultimately enjoying each other's company.

I'm new to the game. Is it okay if I join?
HELL YEAH! Come on down! Or rather, FLY ON UP! We've got you covered! If there's one thing that really gets the old grill going it's watching and helping new players find out just what kind of journey they're about to take!

I came from WoW. Is that okay?
The game was influenced from WoW, as Naoki Yoshida has said himself. What right do we have to banish and ignore all of you just because you've decided to try something new? I only ask that you be kind to those you meet on your journey and be an ambassador to the FC and the game itself.

What are the requirements for joining the Free Company? Is it really strict on stuff like attendance and such? I'm a little apprehensive about joining due to past experiences with requirements.
The only real requirement that I have is that you be kind to those you meet and play with. Help out your fellow players as well as FC Mates. I know that some days are rough, but I want the time you spend with us to be, at least, enjoyable, and fun! Because it's 18+, I expect you to be respectful to those you meet as well as understand that some topics will be discussed that aren't meant for younger ears. But being mature and kind is what I look for, as well as the ability to pay it forward when it counts. So in shorter terms, just be nice. As far as attendance goes, 45 days is where I start to eyeball you a bit, but we have space for peeps that like to do that so no worries. As long as you tell someone you're as golden as a namazu!

Can I be in here even though I'm playing other games?
I'm sure that other games exist outside of Final Fantasy XIV. In fact, it is encouraged to play other games outside of FFXIV. So, by all means, live thy best life.

Do you guys raid?
While we aren't a raiding-focused Free Company, we do have an active raid group that does content on their scheduled/designated days. We also have a developing raid team that will be focusing on end-game content and maybe pushing towards far more difficult content in the near future.

Do you guys run events?
YES! I (Sunati) LOOOOOVE running events throughout the year. I do world/data center events when I have the time and LOVE bringing them into the Free Company because... why not? I love hearing people speak to one another and interact with each other. But yes. In fact, we have them often! Usually there are giveaways as well as actual planned events run! Come join and see for yourself!

Is there a minimum age I have to be to join?
Unfortunately, because there is some NSFW content on the discord server as well as adult conversations, we ask that you be at least 18+ years old.
