Even if its smaller by comparison to the more popular options, 30K is not a small number to sneeze at.
So the Hrothgar weren't a waste of time.

I assume by "clean" you mean soft which if so I agree. The concept art showed them being ripped and toned like a highlander but instead they look soft to average toned.I don't agree on Ronso being comparable to Highlander at all. They're significantly taller and thicker than any other humanoid character in X already. And I actually don't mind their physical build. Being beefy fits beastly races very well IMO. And in a game where nearly every animal-like monster with limbs is jacked as hell I actually think hrothgar still looked too "clean" in muscle detail.
But I'll always roll my eyes at whoever decided that they should be hunched all the time and have these very out of place human-shaped feet. Not to mention the character hair restrictions and how grotesque two of the faces are.
I think I know what two grotesque faces you are referring to, face 3 & 4. I can't say much about face 4 as I find it to be... the least appealing but for face 3 I think it just depends on what options you choose. I like face 3 because it has a natural fierceness but can look soft and sweet eith emotes. I think one of face 3 biggest downside is the dark teeth.
We don’t know that really. If they’d used highlander as a model it would’ve worked better then to have them non-hunchbacked as it’d be easier to fit glams for them. It’s just a woulda coulda shoulda scenario in the end. Using roes as the model was an objectively bad move though. Not just simply going for a X Ronso mirror was also a bad move. The 14 team just seems to have a bad track record with new races tbh. First Au ra with the amazing concept art vs what we got and then comes hrothgar which barely looks anything like their X counterparts and has a weird hunchback. Then we have female viera who look fine, probably because they just direct ported them from 12. But then now we have male viera, who like hrothgar, have major posture problems and really limited customiazation.

Fem elezen checking in.
Wish my feet didn't clip into my dresses.
Also my head size is just fine, thanks.

When they say "player" do they mean a single account or just one given character?.
Because we can have from 8 to 40 characters and each one of them can be actively playing and be above level 60, although having gained a new minion or mount or even HP since the previous census does make a cut, even if not very accurate.
I can imagine active alt characters not gaining neither HP, minions or mounts in two or three months.

Until I see direct official numbers and stats from SE, I won't believe a darn thing Luckybancho posts-- he/she has posted wholly skewed, miscalculated and uninformed numbers way too many times in the past. All the charts are based on info from last luckybancho report: Luckybancho survey, July 2021
First of all I would note that for some reason in "Global", "JP", "NA" and "EU" pages of the report all data is outdated and corresponds to April's one. As result of it, what I did was going trough all servers reports manually and combining data from them into regional and then global results.
Also, while this info isn't related to racial distribution, I think it's worth mentioning that in July the size of active playerbase reached 1.207.441 (against 951.467 in April).
Luckybancho considers a player to be active if:
- Their level is higher than 60 (lvl 60 isn't included)
- They have changes in HP/amount of minions and mounts in comparison to previous survey
- Characters without mounts are counted as bots and are excluded
※Keep in mind that provided data is likely not 100% accurate due to how Lodestone works and also due to the fact that we have no way to say how exactly Lucky Bancho aquires and fixes this data. Consider it to be an estimate that helps to understand the trends, with some errors to it.

"After ten years, finally headed to Sharlayan... absolutely stoked"

Catgirl supremacy!
If they were more traditional elves they'd be among the most popular I think.
The necks are just too hard for people to get past :P.
I honestly don't notice it unless my character is naked basically or has short hair and wears something that is basically bare around the neck and shoulders area.
Personally I find the broad shoulders more distracting and annoying in certain gear altho again it's not always noticeable either.
I do think that my options are a bit more limited if I want to avoid the wonky aspects of Elezen being too noticeable, but it also isn't much of a problem because the gear I like tends to not draw attention to it.
Elezen are the prettiest imo if you can hide that, but if you don't then it can stand out too much.

Yeah, I feel like miqo'te would still be number one in terms of female races, but if this game had some proper looking elves, that'd have been amazing! Said this many times on the forums before, but that is what my go to race would be. Even something simple like a Hilda type half elezen/hyur race would have been great! It could have had some nice custom faces to differentiate them from midlanders, and the racial hair potential as well... Ah, c’est la vie.
