Transfer character from Steam to PS5?

Hi. Just got a PS5. I know I have to rebuy all the expansions and what not on PS5. No problem.

The question (and im sorry if this is the wrong place, Im still a new player, barely over a month) is can I transfer my character that ive played and leveled on the Steam version over to Playstation? Obviously I googled but got lots of conflicting and half informations. Thanks for any help.

The game is completely crossplay, including account progress. All you need to do to access your character you've been using on PC, is to sign in to XIV with the same account information.

The characters themselves are independent of this. Some people play both PC and PS4 and switch between the platforms to play the same character. Make sure the PS5 version gets attached to the same account that you bought the Steam version on.

just the sqex account..

so on your playstation you buy and download the game as normal

then when you load it up for the first time click existing account login in stead of register. login with ya usual stuff on the launcher and it will prompt you to link ya psn to ya sqex account.

You don't attach the Sony account to your Steam account, no.

You login to your mog station account, and insert the game code for the PS5 version of the game. The game code should have been emailed to you when you bought the PS5 version.

There is kinda an issue with “sqex account.” The online store and the mogstation don’t seem to share an account. After you create an account to buy the game, you have to create another account on the mogstation to create a “service account.”
