waiting on loot rolls

A shorter timer would be nice but if you want the loot that badly, just stick around. You can AFK to grab a drink, take out trash, etc. while the roll counts down.

Yep, I usually just roll and get some water when it comes to the alliance raids since we all know there is that one person.

In-fact I was saved by the timer once. I had cleared a savage floor for the week and my raid leader always used lootmaster. I had d/c'd like right before the kill, so the timer covers these strange scenarios as they were still able to give me my loot.

What I've seen people post is to post that you've rolled and are needing to AFK for a bit.

That usually gets the players who are trying to game the system by making people wait leave as they're only wasting their own time if someone else who's rolled is going to be around for a few minutes.

I usually tell the alliance that we should have a dance off while wait for everyone to roll and then start dancing. That usually does it. I've also done the "Going afk" and then sit and play games on my phone before, too. Once they realize they aren't going to get what they want, they usually want to roll and leave.

I've seen this done before and boy oh boy is it way more entertaining than it has any right to be. xD

I just sit there at the exit and pull up an LP video on yt usually personally. Not worth the effort to engage the person holding loot hostage.

What i tend to do when this happens is post in chat: since someone is waiting on rolling i'm gonna go for a smoke, will be back in 5mins.

Once i do that the person holding back the loot rolls 90% of the time, if they don't then i switch to netflix and they sit there till the last second.

Honestly didn't even knew this was a thing, I have around 100 hours(Yes, I'm new) so maybe that's the reason.

I'm gonna share an idea from a previous loot timer thread that I found as amusing as it is helpful:

If it looks like you have one or more Roll Trolls in the raid, at the final kill roll on the loot (pass on what you don't want/need/can-loot), then say in raid chat "Rolled, need to AFK for a few, great run all".
99 times out of a 100 the Roll Trolls will then go head and roll.

My move so far has been to roll then /sit near the exit.

When this happens I usually (but not always) just pop a squat right by the exit portal and say something along the lines of "It's okay, I've got all day." Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Other times I just stand there silently in defiance. Not gonna give whoever it is the pleasure of getting free loot, even if that is the end result. They are wasting my time, so I will waste theirs.
