Army's Paeon

I am a returning player who didn't make it past level 20 in 2014, I went to ESO and also life took hold so no time for games. Now I am retiring so plenty of time for gaming.

I am level 47 and army's Paeon is still grayed out to me. Anyone know of a bug or maybe I need to visit someone to activate it? I have searched the internet and can't find any reason why it is not available to me? Help! Thanks

Yes, you have to do your job quest to unlock your abilites. I guess you didn't unlock Rain of Death either...

If you have done your quest, and your abilities are still greyed out, you are probably in a duty where your level is synced down for the time being.

So much has changed since I played last I wish there were cues to lead me to which quests I need to do in order to unlock my abilities without having to look things up. I am really enjoying the game and story. I was out leveling the main story quest because I was doing all the side ones so stopped and focused the main story quest I guess that was a wrong move. A bit confused.

There is also an additional quest mark below the MSQ quest guide (see here in the top left corner example "Way of the Lancer")
It shows your current (missing) job quest, you can also click it to open the map to see where to start it.

Another thing: Once you've finished the story, the MSQ guide button will say "to be continued". IF you have set it to hide once main story is done (so you wouldn't always see this "to be continued" button) it will NOT show your next job quest. Because for whatever reason the MSQ guide is one UI element and is turned off once you finished the story.

This is incredibly common nowadays thanks to the broken state of the leveling system. Where you’ll find Lv50 Pugilists queuing for titan and Lv70 BRD in doubt Keeper Of the lake while also kissing several vital skills

I was able to get my BRD songs and move ahead in the story. I think for me its just the unfamiliarity of the UI and how much has changed. I am enjoying the process and learning so much as I go. Like all MMO's there is always room for improvements in all areas of the game. For me personally I am enjoying myself and have no complaints. Doesn't do any good to complain anyway.
