    Materia, Novus Relic Chain

They are not real clear about this, I kinda inferred this from what they said… when we talk of infusing 75 materia, they mean one point per item no matter how many “points” it has, still counted as one. Correct?

As this is solely a glamor item for me, it should not need any attention paid to which stats are applied, right?

Can I assume I do not have to pay attention to gear allowances like we do for regular gear?

Fair to also assume 44 is the max in any one specific type of materia?

I take it that the more we infuse of a specific lavel, the meld success goes down, right?

So you need to pay a little attention to stats. It doesnt matter what they end up being - you yourself said this was just a glam item. But the scroll only lets you use a certain number of different types of materia. If i recall, you are limited to materia boosting 4 different stats. There is also a limit to how many of a given strength of materia you can use, and they do force you to work from the bottom up. So if you decide to make spell speed one of your stats(maybe because you have a lot of quicktongue materia), you have to start by feeding it QT grade 1 materia(with failures becoming more common the more you use). Then when you get to 10 or 11 of them it will start accepting QT grade 2's(it also either stops accepting grade 1's, or the success rate goes so low as to effectively block them out).

And there in lies the rip, the level 1 materials seem to cost big time more than, say 2s. Like 5,000 vs. 300. So the question becomes can I put in a 1, then switch to higher grades? Nothing I have read seems to preclude that, all it says is you have to put in a lower tier first…

    For each stat,
    For each tier,
You are required to affix a certain number of materia. The first few materia of each tier are guaranteed to succeed. The last few of each tier have a failure chance.

After filling up one stat tier, you move on to the next tier.

I had read a comment that one may need to spend over 400k, now I can see how that can happen especially with the cost of that tier 1 materia. MAJOR gil sync, right?

When it was current content, it wasnt uncommon to have to go make new materia to fill out your scroll. The prices would be too high or the supply would be too low. Im not even sure if thats possible anymore with the changes they made to spiritbonding.
