Mining Help Unlocking Level 50 Actions

Howdy howdy

I'm leveling up a miner and am currently level 55. For some reason I can't get trained or access any of the level 50 and beyond actions - scour, brazen prospector, Luck of the mountaineer, etc..

I'm up to Where the Chocobos Roam on the MSQ.

Obviously I'm missing something somewhere, but having a booger of a time finding what I missed to allow to train further.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It doesn’t look like those skills are gated by doing your miner quests, but are you on one of the nodes that has rareified items on it? Those are the only items that can be gathered as collectibles.

Possibly... I just figured out the Luck of the Mountaineer one - that's from a blue quest called 'the same vein'. Learnin' stuff every day lol

Okay - if anyone else runs into this 'why the heck can't I get these mining level 50 actions', here is the deal.

There is a blue quest called Inscrutable Tastes in Foundation at 10,10 given by Morgayne. It's a simple delivery quest, and once you do it you'll unlock Scour, Brazen Prospector, Meticulous Prospector and Scrutiny.

Good to know, it’s been years since I’ve done the quest and things have changed so much for gatherers.
