Hunts and especially the hunt "community" continue to be a mistake.


Ive been critical on hunts before, but I will say that most of the community around that tries their best to accommodate everyone that wants to join.
There's definitely issues that happen but they aren't really the fault of the conductors. There's just been way too many people joining some of these and all you can do sometimes is spam whatever aoe you have on a tank with tank stance on and pray that counted. (And hope the train has vibe checks becuase even on my higher end PC the locations get congested).



On Balmung unless I see a hunt train A ranks stay up for hours and hours. The Shadowbringer A ranks just aren't something a few people get together. At this stage of gearing we should be 3 manning them and it is just not happening.
That's what i observed on my server as well. People won't come to a ShB A rank unless there's a train going on. And so the hunts stay there for hours and hours untouched sometimes where they could be killed 2 or 3 times instead. It doesn't matter anymore if they miss a few because there are plenty of them available with cross world.


I miss the days when I found an A rank and some people would just up and we'd kill it.
Now its like a conveyer belt and it took all the fun out of it for me..
So I haven't been joining the trains at all, but I couldn't even if I wanted to because i'm still on PS4.
Everytime I gather something and the train is there everything turns into extreme lag its awful xD




I was almost late to Big Fish window thanks to congestion in a zone due to a hunt train.
I'm perfectly fine with a community wanting to try handling something not as the developers originally intended. I'm not fine with causing disruptions to playing due to wanting to cram as many people as possible into a zone.

I really did enjoy hunting more before crossworld was a thing,.
I've legitimately had instances where I spawned a S rank hunt, then the thing was detected/relayed by a bot and killed by offworlders before I could even find it.
At minimum it would be nice if you could tell whether or not a given hunt is dead/alive at the hunt NPCs.


How bout making hunts actually fun.
Here is an image from Behemoth Okina (Ruby Sea S rank) 30 mins ago - https://imgur.com/RewT5OV 210 players total, not far from congesting a previous expansion zone honestly. Only 26 wanderers too, which is typical for non-current expansion S ranks. It wasn't even relayed on the big hunt Discord for primal in time. But for full context it was a pre-gather which actually goes back to my message there saying an invulnerability shield would cause a new issue of congesting current expansion zones all the time. The Behemoth server has very strong in-game relays too.
And then someone just showed me this for a Shadowbringers S rank that just popped on Excalibur server - https://imgur.com/a/yj5MTia That's pretty familiar for a number of players, and of course they didn't make it in time as you can imagine.
There is just too many people honestly, and again it's going to get worse soon on the current path.
Edit: On a non-hunting related note, just had 200+ players in the area for the Behemoth world FATE too. Literally level syncd, did one ability, and it was dead lol.
