macro to switch between gamepad and mouse?

Hi, new to FFXIV, really enjoying so far.

I play on PC but like to use my XBOX controller in general when playing. just more comfortable for me. But I've been wanting to start trying to tank in game too and the controller is a bit too clunky in targeting and using abilities and I want to switch to mouse/keyboard when i am tanking.

I've already set up two different UI layouts and have macros for those, but still have to manually go in to click over from mouse/gamepad in the character settings

Is there a way to do this in a macro?

What's wrong with keeping the switch on Gamepad Mode and just changing the visibility of the hotbars and crosshotbars via a changed /hudlayout?

Certain functions require to toggle between the two, like menus and stuff.

And there is nothing wrong with the option, i just wanted to know if like the hudlayout macro command there was an easy way to toggle between then short of opening /cconfig and actually clicking the toggle.

No they don't. If you're on gamepad. Pressing start brings up the xmb. Pressing escape on the keyboard brings up the main menu. Or you can just set use or edit the keyboard shortcuts. Alt c to open the charater menu. Alt p to open the party menu etc etc. Change the keybinds to whatever you like.
