My 2 cents over the subject (like anybody care rofl)
Guy didn't like the game and that's it, do I agree with his review? Not at all.
Leave at that, it doesn't matter if it was fair or not. His loss.

You don't have to like the story to enjoy the game, it enrich it obviously being a Final Fantasy game and the story is on par with a AAA game imo.
However he did boost, complain people aren't doing their part when he die to basic aoes. Then complain story wasn't great (well you skipped so you base that on what, 10 msq quests you did?).
Again he came in with a bias, wrong reason to play and skipped then cry over people call him out on it.

Which is why I said "He went into a game with not the best intentions to a game he wouldnt like". Thats where the story should begin and end -- hes not a story player at all. Its not a game for him. He's allowed not to like the game! He said he hates reading, and that is why he didn't like the story. A text heavy RPG is obviously not what he needs to be playing then. It's personally never bothered me because I'm a speed reader, but I can get behind that as a valid reason to dislike XIV..
People are treating this more than it should be. I agree with his audience clowning him -- but the community doing way too much to talk about it and call him another LazyPeon is getting weird.

Its a good thing he quit, his attitude was garbage.
I like how it seems all the pent up anger that was reserved for Asmon ended up going to him instead for doing the very thing everyone was expecting Asmon to do, but didn't. Not like it's undeserved though, I guess being unanimously panned and ridiculed in all social media platforms is still a form of clout

This is why I use YouTube for music and for clearing content only. Who cares about any of these people? -Not this chick.
Some like to say that there's no such thing as negative publicity. It's all just publicity. It lets others know you exist and gets some of them to follow you.
As much as MPK tends to troll in the forums, he's absolutely correct in that part of the community has been played here. They're now giving this guy views he would have never gotten for the sake of mocking him. People who had no idea he exists now know he exists and might well just start following his streams hoping to get more lulz.
Twitch and YouTube don't know someone's motivation for watching a stream or video. They just know that it's being watched and that move the content creator up in views.
The very people who are hating on this guy have effectively made him more popular.

I disagree, as someone argued earlier the maxim "no such thing as bad publicity" isn't always true anymore. In the age of social media and cancel culture making a fool of yourself in public can easily lead to being blacklisted and losing contracts. He also seems to be a poor streamer so even if he did get a tiny initial boost it won't last but even that's doubtful as his own community turned on him at least as much as the FFXIV players did. Some like to say that there's no such thing as negative publicity. It's all just publicity. It lets others know you exist and gets some of them to follow you.

No such thing as bad publicity was a thing when it was hard to make a lot of noise, it's not hard anymore.
The only way to effectively deal with a narcissist is to ignore them.
At the end of the day, he just wants attention. Ignore him and move on.
