Damn, Quinn just pulled a 90000 IQ play. He just showed everyone how toxic the ffxiv community while signal boosting his own stream. In reality he couldn't careless about FFXIV, he understood how snowflakey this community is and found a way to enrage the entire ffxiv community by dumpstering over the story by skipping which enrages the casuals, then purposely did poor in the boss fights to enrages the raiders.

Man that guy is very very smart. It makes us look bad and makes him look like a victim.

The entire community just got played.

Quin did not pull anything off. The old Maxim goes; "treat others the way you want to be treated yourself" - He bit at the community, and the community bit back, simple as. It's so clear that this was the intended outcome and he did everything on purpose. He did everything purposely to boost his channel right before the major PoE update. All the major streamers now think that the FFXIV community is toxic including asmongold and rich. Everyone thinks that Quinn is the victim in this.

Well can you explain to me why he's getting way more attention than Lazypeon? He clearly pulled off something that Lazypeon wish he could've done.

He got so much attention to his channel right before the PoE update that you can't at all call it a waste of $200. That's by far the best use of $200 that ANYONE could've done to gain attention.

Perhaps he did. I don't know about you but the vibes I got from Rich were that of neutrality. - Asmongold on the other hand. This is where my comment of being intentionally obtuse stems from. He scorned the community, whilst subsequently going on to say Quin doesn't deserve the hate, which he doesn't - That's all fine. But let's be frank if you're going to judge something or make a comment on something you know nothing about then you're going to get backlash himself. I'm pretty sure on this selfsame stream Asmongold done on his second channel openly admitted that he makes a routine effort to try and comment on things that he doesn't know what he's talking about. I beg the question- I wonder why he doesn't do that? Again, see intentionally obtuse.

He definitely knew he was supposed to get out of there. It's easy bait to get people to attack him and people think that this community is just a bunch of nerd ragers. He's really really good at baiting people.

Everything he did was an act to get people to attack him if you haven't noticed. Including failing the clicking thing for shinryu.

Play the game in a normal way, Asmongold and Rich got a surge of viewers which is much better advertisment. Even if he said "I don't like it" in a polite manner, he would've still stonked.
Ignore the game, and play something else. His viewer base was already dwindling due to his narcissic behavior except this whole reaction made things worse. There is other MMO going in Alpha/Beta these days, he could've played those.

Completely agree. The saddest thing is that while most people can see this for what it was he still has a group encouraging him to behave like he is, we see it in this thread. He's not doing anything new or interesting either, this 9000 IQ talk is just simping, honestly. Many many streamers and YouTubers have gone down the road of appealing to, and rewarding the toxic side of their viewers and all that happens is the decent people leave, leaving only the toxic ones. Asmongold, for all his critics and flaws will stop mid sentence and call out his own chat when he thinks they are out of line. He does it frequently.

TTS donations are a real red flag, it encourages all the edge lords to say something stupid for attention and gets so many people into trouble that any semi intelligent person would not allow that feature.

The most normal take to have. But I've learn it is a very small part of the community that has some weird issue that someone who does not like the game, or plays in a certain way. They throw hissy fits, or attack the person. Asmon just said something that is common sense. Who cares if the guy bashes the game?

I got a laugh..and cringe watching him play. and that was enough for me. He can say the game has nothing but wife beaters in it, and I would not care and just laugh.
