Arenvald in 6.x As a major character

Ok so I have been replaying the entirety of the game on a brand new character from scratch. I begun Stormblood and begun to get to know Arenvald's character and I am absoluetly shocked at how rich his character is. He has backstory that is deep and makes me empathize with him greatly, plus he has

the Echo, which could tie well into the story.

I belive he is incredibly underrated and would be an amazing addition to the main roster for whatever brand new storyline the devs have in store for us in 6.x, and truly belive he would be one of the most interesting characters to bring into the forefront of the MsQ going forward given how much room for development I belive he has.

Then end of Shadowbringers kinda puts him out of action. Man's in a wheel-chair because his injuries crippled him.

Trust me, I'd love to see this man wheeling through battle full-throttle and impaling enemies on a lance. Sadly I don't foresee that happening.

If he does get to make some kinda come back he'd probably have to take the chocobo knight route for practicality reasons.

Honestly,I don't thnk so... His ending in ShB was clearly a cliffhanger for something happening with hin in EW.

XIV's setting can defnitely justify nearly any kind of recovery... from magic to a magitek exo-suit, there are so many ways.

Yeah, though him having a role to play in EW wouldn't necessarily mean he'd have to be healed and springing back onto the battlefield. In fact I kind of hope they do something more interesting than that. I could see Alph going sage tying into it if he 'does' get healed back to active duty though.

Other characters have pulled off far more ridiculous recoveries. (Looking at you, Y'shtola.) But if he does, I hope they actually show some of the process, not just have him pop up all better out of nowhere.

Y'shtola is an accomplished magic user. Arenvald is a knight and has openly admitted that books weren't his strong-point. I could see him taking up the magic mantle, but I see him becoming a chocobo knight before that.

Y'shtola has also had to be rescued out of her own magic twice now, and suffered minimal consequence for it. (Yes, the spell that lets her see with aether is supposed to be draining her life span, but unless the game actually moves on from the time bubble it's been in since ARR, that's basically meaningless, because nobody ages.) The second time, she literally laughed it off.

At this point, I have to assume that she's just noticed how much plot armor the Scions carry and decided to take advantage of it.

The characters are aging... just the world is on a slower timescale than our own. There are quests that reference how long it's been since a certain event in an earlier patch happened. I forget exactly, but I believe it's been about 2 years now in-game between ARR and Shadowbringers, not to mention that the scions on The First have had their lifepans going on much longer due to the difference in the speed of time passing on both worlds.

More likely they don't move on the Y'Shtola killing herself with her aether vision because plot armor.
