Character stuck in Cut Scene crash loop

My character is stuck in what seems like a permanent crash loop. As soon as I tried going to the Eorzean Alliance Headquaters through the MSQ, the game promptly crashed and has been doing so every time I try and log in.

I can log in with different characters just fine. It's just my main character.

I've tried setting DX 9.0c and it's just stuck on the loading screen. It doesn't crash though. Just indefinite loading.

Take out the character’s folder from the FFXIV document folder (should be under documents > my games > ffxiv)

Try logging back in then. if it works then it was something corrupted in the folder - slowly try to reintroduce some of the files at a time when you do this and watch for the crash loop.

Or alternatively have you tried completely uninstalling (including wiping all files related to the game)?

Thank you for your reply MilkieTea. I moved my game folder from D: to C: and downloaded the patches again. That fixed it.
