true is there is not big reason why to do pvp these days. i wonder queue times for fronlines at least. so yes. anything LIKE GARO , not Garo again. i think they can bring something from Dissidia or i dont know. i can imagine getting rights on Garo now could be pretty expensive for SE

Shoot I forgot that there weren't even any pvp weapons at the Frontline vendor either. When did the Late Allagan stuff get implemented anyways?

I believe 5.1 0r 2 was when it was added.

As someone who missed the thing about the Moogle event, lemme say this: It's not about not being able to read. Can people please stop saying that? The info was grouped with the one about the tomes only being obtainable during the event, which is an info we're used to so it's easy to glide over the whole thing. It's understandable that people can easily overlook this bit since the warning about the items part doesn't stand out at all. It's also in the middle of the page, buried in an avalanche of other info. It might've been wiser to mention the info about the items themselves separately and maybe at the top of the page, especially where the info about how long the event will last, since that's an info that would most likely always be read by all. Besides, when you do an event a certain way every single time, you condition people and they get used to the way the event is done and don't expect a change unless the warning is extremely clear (not just a fine print thrown somewhere). This is human nature. It's how routines are born.

Now let's compare this to the GARO event. The event was unique. It had never been done before, so no one was conditioned or used to the event being a certain way. And when they decided to end it, the info was circulated in a way that made it hard to miss. I think they made the announcement more than once as the event was drawing to its end, not necessarily on Twitter since I don't dwell there. I think even Meoni made a video about it, but don't quote me on that. Compared to that, Meoni and many other FF14 news content creators who made videos about the latest Moogle event also didn't mention the info about the Moogle items not being available later on. They also missed it.

Now if we could all try to be more understanding and accept that people can make mistakes because they're human, that would be great. As for this thread, as someone who dislikes PvP yet had to suffer through it to get as many rewards as they could before the event was over, I wouldn't mind it coming back for all the other players who weren't as lucky, though that may not be possible due to the reasons people have already explained here and in the previous thread about the same thing. However, I do think that the OP does have a tendency to word their "requests" in a bit of an entitled way. Also, the OP chose not to farm for the items when they were available and was aware the event was ending (iirc), which is different from what happened with the Moogle event, where people were taken by surprise.

I swear to god you people can't read or just won't listen.

I got into FFXIV in 4.5. I wasn't even aware of GARO until the second announcement came and had no idea how the event even worked until there was two weeks left in the event. What I had been doing all that time before was leveling up, doing MSQ, doing the things one normally does when one starts a new MMO. The situation was worsened for me because I had changed my Grand Company to Adder to farm out some items and wasn't aware that you couldn't win games if you weren't on Maelstrom. So I got left out in the cold and ended up getting very, very little from the event. I don't have to be happy about things turned out and I am well within my rights to continually ask for the event to return. People who stalk me in these threads to tell me to shut up and stop asking aren't doing any sort of public service here. They are JUST BEING MEAN FOR THE SAKE OF BEING MEAN!!!

As is normal I simply have no desire to deal with these rude jerks and am ignoring because they are clearly not here to be helpful and not saying anything useful to me.

I don't see why I have to be mistreated because of a bunch of uppity jerks who don't want to share their toys.

And you people call me entitled.

I'm all for asking for the return of Garo and wishing it was possible.

I just wish it was being asked and not demanded by someone who acts like they probably wouldn't even say "thankyou" if it happened.

My dude, calm down. I'll repeat what I remember writing in my reply in your old thread. It was no one's fault that you missed the event. Sometimes unpleasant stuff happens and it can't be helped. It's also not the devs' fault that things went down the way they did, and if they can't bring the event back for whatever legitimate reason (that others have explained to you over and over), then you'll have to accept that. My comment about entitlement comes from the way you word things. "Bring back X or Y" is not a request--it's an order. It makes you come off as entitled, especially since your predicament was something that couldn't be helped as far as the devs are concerned. I also seem to recall you wanted the rewards to be obtainable by means other than PvP, which is kinda unfair to those who suffered through the original event to get what they wanted. The way you argument and clash with others and lash out isn't doing you any favors either.

End of 2019 someone made a post:

    “PVP needs another Garo event”

    And your response was…

    “NO! The event was garbage”

Seems to me like you should be thanking SE for taking your feedback on board in 2019.

That was because the way to unlock things, particularly mounts, were tied to wins which were nigh impossible to secure if you weren't with the Maelstrom back then. Forgive me for feeling like this game has incredibly poor PvP, because it does.

And if I lash out, it's because I'm constantly being attacked and in some cases, stalked, by people who are trying to bully me into silence.
