Of course it is just that simple. That's not a good reason though. He should have put more thought into that contract before signing it in the first place then.
(that's not to complain about Yoshida, we all make mistakes)

Why does everything always have to be black or white on this forum?
In this case, its very much possible that it is black and white - the GARO license holders might simply not have been on board with an unlimited event, in which case the only options are a limited event or no event at all.
So its a valid question: If its not possible to have an event for an unlimited amount of time, should they simply not do it in the first place?

Not to mention that Garo was mentioned to end somewhere in the beginning of Stormblood at first, but somehow made it until the beginning of Shadowbringers. It lasted far longer that it was supposed to.In this case, its very much possible that it is black and white - the GARO license holders might simply not have been on board with an unlimited event, in which case the only options are a limited event or no event at all.

Though I'm not opposed to the idea of bringing it back for new players if it's possible, something tells me that it's unlikely to happen, as sad as it is.
Major difference is that previous crossovers are SE's titles, so the company is free to decide if they want to put it in Mog or not.
The GARO event lasted through the period Keita Amemiya (GARO's creator and IP owner) was working with Creative Business Unit III on the Ivalice raids' bosses.
It could easily return if they every have Amemiya come back as a guest designer for a storyline.Though I'm not opposed to the idea of bringing it back for new players if it's possible, something tells me that it's unlikely to happen, as sad as it is.

I got the Garo stuff I wanted during the event, but I'm probably mistaken but can't orher new people just buy the gear at the Gold Saucer? I remember people who didn't want to PvP getting it there? I got mine the normal way so not sure what the Saucer gear is like or even the difference.

The Saucer versions were not dyeable and I don’t think counted for the achievements/titles/mounts. Only the PvP versions were dyeable and such.I got the Garo stuff I wanted during the event, but I'm probably mistaken but can't orher new people just buy the gear at the Gold Saucer?
