Can we have a PS4 equivalent to the benchmark please?

The benchmark is nominally for testing PC performance, but that's not what makes it an exciting release that people look forward to. It's a trailer and a character creator preview – and if you play solely on PS4, you miss out on all the fun.

Is there a technical reason why a version of this program cannot be released for the PS4/PS5? Obviously there's no need to test the console, but it could be relabelled as a "demo trailer" or something similar.

It would also be great to have permanent free access to a stand-alone character creator program. Currently I can't access it at all in the game because I have used up all my character slots (on the cheaper subscription with the limit of eight) so it just tells me I can't create more. And being able to play with character designs is what leads to me creating – and paying for – more alts. This would also allow new players to experiment with creating characters from races that are not available on the free trial, and maybe be tempted into paying for the full game sooner.

I'd like to, but my laptop is old enough that it can't run the program at all.

I'm looking at getting a new one, but it shouldn't be necessary just for this.

fully support it, i had to use my potato laptop and it had like 10-20
fps xD
there was also a benchmark/m viera picture contest on twitter. people that have only the console as a real option kind of were left out. i was also curious to see how much better the ps5 would do in comparison to the ps4

I'm in the same boat. The PCs I have access to just can't run the benchmark or I'd be playing around making as many cute bunny boys as I'd want. Not that I'd play as one. Any time I have an option to play as my gender I do so and have a very hard time having a strong enough urge/commitment to playing as a male character. I also find that a lot of the times where there is an option to play as a female character the female VA comes off as delivering the lines better than their male counter part. Not that they do a bad job, just that there's more feeling I guess? And yes I'm fully capable of playing and enjoying games where the protagonist is a guy. It's just really hard for me to play as a guy if there's a female option.

Honestly they could just you'd you'd video to YouTube or something. Benchmarking a ps4 or even ps5 is literally useless as they all have the same hardware.

The trailer isn't really what many who play on PS4/5 would like to have, but the availability to try out any new race in the character creator before the expansion comes out like those on PC can do.

I'm with OP.... I play on console and because of my work, my home computer is a mac. Neither of them support the benchmark trailer.

Plus it's been disappointing that they don't let us even just play with the character creator from the menu in advance of the expansion. Let those who are interested in the new race play with the options, and save an appearance for when the expansion launches the same way PC players already can. Doesn't have to be the full benchmark.
