Endwalker jobs, related older gear sets, and weapons

According to the FF14 Wiki, Sage will use Healing Armour (same as all Healer jobs) and Reaper will use Maiming Armour (same as the Dragoon).

With that in mind, is there any chance that FF14 will retroactively (?) add in weapons for these jobs that match older gear sets from before Endwalker?

The techno-fantasy look of the Scaeven gear is of interest to me, and it'd be nice if Sage and Reaper had matching weapons to go with that gear.

From last expansion, relevant pre-ShB sets for GNB and DNC...

In the main game:
- Shire
- Ryumyaku
- Scaevan
- Omega
- Stormblood dungeons
- crafted weapons 60-68 but not 70

In side content:
- Palace of the Dead
- Heaven-on-High
- PVP Hellhound
- PVP "Yokai" series (eg. Oni/Nue)

So we can assume we will be getting Scaevan, Crystarium, Cryptlurker and Edenmorn weapons along with Shadowbringers dungeons and crafted weapons.

I only hope they add Omega Nouliths and Scythe to the game they didnt add alex gunblades or chakrams with shadowbringers which was a pity tho.

Oh, they did add Omega chakrams/gunblade though – I just searched for weapons up to i400 when I made my list, not realising Omega was above that.

That is good news. I'm sure Scaevan scythes and nouliths will look awesome.

Going off of Dancer and Gunbreaker, Sage and Reaper will get weapons in the Shadowbringers dungeons (faerie scythe? Yes please), possibly Eden, pvp, the Deep Dungeons, some crafted, and the tome set now (Cryptlurker).
Problem is, ShB was not kind to DNC and GNB with older content, unlike RDM and SAM in Stormblood. Go look on the market board and see how few glamours they have. I'm hoping this was a fluke and Endwalker is kinder to Sage and Reaper, but we will see.

Indeed! I'm not keen on playing reaper but (like dark knight before it) the idea of pretty floral weapons is amusing. The nouliths should look very nice too. Though I'm disappointed that they'll miss out on having the Castrum Abania version with the pink and gold colour scheme, because I like those more than the Fae versions.
