MSQ has a purpose. Getting sprouts through the story.
Extremes don't. They were supposed to be optional content.
Especially when some of those trials have multiple phases that have complex mechanics that can't be easily typed out. And with the sheer amount of extremes having macros for all of them isn't realistic.
My reason for removing them? Some of that content is over 5 years old now. No one should realistically be expected to teach that.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Ironically enough, getting EX primals with randoms from Mentor Roulette is the very reason why I started to appreciate doing Main Scenario Roulette more, despite both Castrum and Praetorium having those unskippable cutscenes. Heck, I would prefer getting those two said long dungeons in Mentor Roulette than getting ANY EX Primal. At the end of the day, you either clear it or you don't. People may not always take your advice when you give it to them in higher-end content. It may get to the point where people might not even reach or get past the add phases in Extreme trials via Duty Finder.
