only the ones in Raid finder or easy fights like Garuda,Shiva or Ravana get clears
most mentors (even jp mentors) will ditch or sandbag to not get through
its the same everywhere

crazy

They should just have only main story dungeons and story primal battles for mentor roulette.
They should make mentor roulette only roll extremes and Coil instead so that the mentors who are lazy and bad at the game don't have an incentive to keep being a mentor.
I can't understand the extreme hate that mentors get in the community. I've been playing the game for over 6 years now, and I don't really remember running into these nightmare of bad players known as mentors. And doing the Mentor Roulette, I actually came across some extremely nice and helpful mentors. I think this generalization is hurting the reputation of mentors and creating unnecessary hostility between the players. It isn't really doing anyone any good. Sure, there are bad mentors out there, just like there are bad players/people in general.
I think a lot of those judging mentors so harshly should try and walk a mile in their shoes before speaking. I personally didn't understand the horrors of being a mentor until I decided to get the bloody mount. People who have never set foot in that roulette and didn't farm it will never ever grasp how much torture it can be. Even though I was only doing it for the mount, I still did my best to be a good mentor. I never left a duty no matter how bad the party was or how much I hated the duty I got, and I always tried to be patient and explain stuff as best I could. But there are things that I deem unacceptable. At high levels, you're expected to know certain things (your job included but let's not go there). No one is supposed to explain to you how stack marks and other super easy mechanics work at level 70 and on. Besides, in extreme fights, even when you explain everything, people still don't follow instructions. I'm sorry but if you can't understand written explanations, watch a guide. Also, people keep messing up mechanics even after seeing them over and over and over and even after dying to them repeatedly. Like, how? I actually had instances where we timed out on a... dungeon. Can you imagine that? I sometimes get the feeling people turn off their brains when they queue and they expect an easy carry. And what infuriates me even more is that the moment you call someone out for making no effort at all, literally everyone turns on you just because you have the damn crown icon next to your name. You get insulted and berated because you're a mentor when all you did was either give advice, politely, mind you (true story); or call someone out legitimately.
Excuse the rant, but I think people should stop spreading the hate against mentors. This tired stereotype isn't even funny anymore and isn't fair to the good mentors out there.
P.S. Not sure if this is relevant but I don't dwell in NN.

Why suffer? The whole purpose of being a mentor is to help others, whether that be by giving advice or filling in the queues. Why must mentors suffer because of the ignorance of other players (and sometimes their inability to play at a minimum required level/intelligence)? No one in their right state of mind queues for extreme fights in DF.

If you can't clear extreme in roulettes, don't do the roulette. Or git gud![]()
The thing is, it's actually the other players who need to "git gud." It's usually not the mentors that are the problem. If anything, I used to cheer when I saw a good number of mentors in an extreme trial when I got one because I then had hope we might actually clear.

If mentors can't mentor and do the mentor roulette as intended, then maybe it's time they stop doing it altogether, or SE considers a closure of mentorship as a whole - which would be only to the benefit of the game, in my opinion.
