Updated map of The Three Great Continents

Notable differences is, well, the clouds over Ilsabard parted, but ONLY around Garlemald, so that's funny. Also the Ivalician map got added, with Dalmasca and Valnain looking almost exactly like they did in Fran's map. However, Bozja and Terncliff are conspicuously absent.

Also, the "icons" used for Doma, Old Sharlayan, and Radz-at-Han used to be the same and now they have their own unique styles, reflecting the actual look of the cities (also, the Dawn Throne got added to the Azim Steppe section). The colors for Old Sharlayan and Thavnair are also more vibrant.

We never did make it to that northwestern chunk of Othard, did we?


(EE2 calls it "the Dalvalan Grath," and it seems to be the home of a Viking-esque offshoot of the Xaela. They even have a Khan!)

Why are they still hiding the location of Bozja? We've been there for a while already.

What I also wonder is, if this map is updated to the Garlemald palace's transformation, ¿why isn't it also updated for other things like the new place of Val/Eureka in the Far East, or changing the "Sharlayan" name from what is now "Idyllshire"? And if Lea Monde is a capital from South Dalmasca, ¿why is not in the map?

And yeah, Bozja and Werlyt regions as well.

Weird, I'd assumed it was on the river marked on the map. Maybe someone not double-checking the location of it in-game when they placed it.

Glad to finally have Dalmasca in full color instead of needing to rely on the black and white image Fran showed in the Ivalice quests. I do wish they uncovered Werlyt and Bozja too though, since we know where they are. Not adding Eureka/Val is also odd, but since these are in-universe maps maybe it having changed locations isn't widely known.

The optimist in me is thinking it's probably for the "Part Three" of the Ivalice Storyline.

The pessimist in me is thinking they HAD that third part planned and even assets sketched and then... yeah...

The whole area is oddly detailed for somewhere we never really go to...

It's still hilarious to me that the map having the clouds covering stuff implies that map makers are more willing to go out in the ocean than over land >_>

Especially since the parts the clouds cover presumably have actual people living on it, going about their lives as per normal, and thus it's not completely terra incognita.

It gets even more hilarious when the Endwalker trailer uses that map in the Sharlayan scene with Y'shtola and Fourchenalt, which means even Sharlayan maps have that cloud cover.
