Please release 6.0 savage 1 week earlier than previous expansions

With the typical timeline, normal raids are released 2 weeks after the expansion, and the savage tier is released 2 weeks after normal raids. This means raid comes out December 21st and if you don't clear by Friday night then you're raiding for Christmas or risking not clearing week 1. Delaying savage by 1 week is also not a solution as it then collides with when JP players spend time with family. So either it is delayed even further, or released earlier. Between the 2 choices, I personally think 3 weeks after the expansion is enough time for the players who want to raid day 1 or week 1 to complete MSQ, while still giving enough time for the hardcore raiders to complete it before Christmas.

I can't speak for your country of residence but here where I live, many people including goverment bodies believed it be over by end of 2020. Here we have halfway into 2021 and only a 20% is vacinated in my country. It gonna take some time until a herd inmunity is reached.

So yes, we'll see if the world will have opened up pre-covid with travel restrictions being lifted etc.

To OP: I don't have a strong opinion on this as a casual, but I think SE wants the expansion to last as long as they can reasonably. I would think they prefer the majority of their players to not rush through the main story just to get to the endgame.

Not targeted to YOU, but I think SE is well aware of a chunk of players who want things released sooner, then complain there's nothing to do because they rushed through it.

Christmas is huge in Japan. Just because it's celebrated differently doesn't mean it's "not cared about". The only real difference in Japan is that it's not a day off.. so similar to USA's Halloween. Lotta people still celebrate it.
