This is clearly out of left field for Square Enix and they've admitted as much. Already we're starting to see problems. They ran out of game codes. There have been server instabilities on Aether lately, albeit mostly with regards to the inability to load character data (which isn't a huge deal). New character creation is basically impossible in the entirety of NA during weekend primetime, which I know will attract fanboys of the game to deflect that "tHeY CaN jUSt MaKE a New ChARaCteR dUriNG ofF-PeAk hOURs", conveniently sidestepping the elephant in the room that this is a very bad first impression for new players. Free trial characters are also struggling to actually log into NA servers because of the congestion.

Yoshi P suggested that any expansion of the server infrastructure will probably not come before Endwalker. They might very well do it at the same time as Oceania DC launch, but that is no respite for the coming storm - Endwalker early access. Will we see Raubahn 2.0? It might not be a solo instance shenanigan this time round, since they've changed that system. But other issues might crop up, who knows. Get ready to get your shovels ready for you'll be mining a lot of salt in November.
