    Unexpected Error 6D

    Hello all,

Since first trying to play the free trial of this game, I have gotten error 6D. I've probably spent hours browsing threads and trying solutions. The only one to work for me is using a blank windows user account to launch FFXIV, which is a hassle. It was so bad until discovering that fix that I almost didn't get to play this game at all. Recently, I bought the paid version and that still hasn't fixed anything. At this point I'm pretty desperate and just hoping someone had a very similar experience to mine with a fix I wouldn't find elsewhere online.

My computer is an MSI with NVIDIA. I've never used Mactype. My user account is set to Local. I've tried running the game as admin, running steam as admin, launching the game through GEFORCE, disabling full screen support, resetting the launcher's DX setting, reinstalling the game, reinstalling GEFORCE, etc.

I'm on a local admin account. Programs I have installed that didn't come with the PC:
    7Zip
    Audacity
    Battle.net
    Dragon Center
    GIMP
    ITunes
    MSI SDK
    RED Launcher
    Steam
    Telegram
    Vegas Pro

Please tell me someone has some idea. This has been one of the most fun gaming experiences I've had but I'm tired of being locked out of everything else on my PC whenever I want to play

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

As a part of our countermeasures against cheating, we’ve made it so that the error appears and the game will be unable to run when there are applications or processes, etc. that interfere with memory. There are a variety of applications in Windows, and it is difficult to suggest a specific method of solving the issue because everyone’s personal environment differs greatly, so please try running the game in a simple environment that you’ve confirmed has no applications or processes that interfere with memory.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
