Unable to obtain character data

When I try logging in, I receive the error code "Unable to obtain character data." on the character selection screen. I have tried exiting and reloading the game several times. I last played about 8 hours ago and had logged off in a Sanctuary.

EDIT: Nevermind. The problem fixed itself, somehow.

Been having the same problem off and on. Only seems to happen to characters on the Aether data center too.

I'm having the same problem as well... I thought it had something to do with the Benchmark at first because I installed and ran that before I launched the regular game (the Benchmark was able to find my char data though..)

I'm on PS5 and I'm having the same issue so its not the benchmark

but I have noticed I'm about 5X in cue to get in than normal (use to be 20 now 115)

I’m attempting to log in for the evening and seeing it now as well, except the queue is up to 225.

Same issue. Had a 300+ que. Trying to log in to Cactaur. Unable to obtain character data.

Was just able to log in again, but this is the second night in a row that I couldn't log in for a couple hours. And judging from this thread, it's all servers on the Aether data center. According to Google, there was another thread a couple months ago about this issue occurring on Primal servers, but it was eventually resolved without any explanation.

Happened to me today, to log onto a Crystal data centre server.

I also finally did log on..and I was invisible.
