- I got emote spammed with "disgust" when I left an FC on my alt I was in for all of two weeks.

- I was in a horrifically toxic FC that jaded new players and turned them into assholes through a cycle of abuse. The leader and officers would host "learning parties" for sprouts who just reached endgame content. The FC leader would quite stupidly complain about someone playing a certain job over a voice, never realizing that person could hear them (not part of that patch's meta) in an EX trial of all things. The leader and officer would quickly lose their patience with new players struggling with mechanics and if someone jumped in to voice to ask how it was going, they'd openly bemoan how "We haven't even cleared yet". IN a learning party. The new players seemed to assume this was normal behaviour and internalized it, shitting on other new players in other content for "subpar performance" (literally just not knowing wtf to do) themselves. Hilariously, one such new player followed us to our new server when we left to loudly proclaim unironically "[My name] is the best tank on [Server]" to which shout chat replied: "Literally who?"

Running the 24 man roulette with friends in the FC. I team up with my healer friend to murder one of them during the Amon fight, I rescued them from behind the ice into a dangerzone, and my co-healer friend rescued me into safety.

The end boss there, I had him throw a scholar barrier on me and I rescued our tank, who was another friend, off of the floating panels to be hit by quaga and got him one shot.

That same fight my scholar friend was gonna rescue our tank a second time, but another friend (Who was playing dragoon) started shouting 'NO WE'RE FRIENDS RIGHT?! DONT KILL ME PLEASE!!!!' which she was just ASKING to be murdered in cold rescue...which happened.

Murdering friends in old content is always a blast and a half~

My god, I'm so glad the forum finally allowed me to log in after a week, this is the perfect thread for me.

I have multiple, all bad, and it's why I'm in a solo FC and will be until I'm done with 14, I'll start from the beginning, and I'll have to split this post in two cause of the character limit.

My first FC was one I was invited too as a founding member, thought it might be a good opportunity to make some new friends. Went well too, for a while, everyone was nice and we were getting plenty of new members without excessive spam. BUT, it all had to come crashing down within the span of one minute because of what a member said, I'll not say what it was cause I don't think SE would like it mentioned by name, but I will say that it was a extremely promiscuous and possibly illegal lifestyle that is scientifically and morally (to the vast, vast majority of people) wrong being defended by a mod right then and there.
Dude, two people left before I did, if we count me, three left within a minute, ish.

2nd one is also a doozy, more probably, there was this FC that hung out at the same Aetheryte as I did, one day they were talking about doing maps in local chat, I PM'd one of the members asking if I could come along, checked with the rest of the FC, bam, I'm in a map party. A little under a week goes by with me doing maps with these folks, and I eventually get invited to the FC proper, I didn't know just how bad FC's can get, so I join.
Ok, I immediately find out somethings up. In chat, they keep referring to this one member unironically as mom, huge red flag, (I didn't cause she ain't my damn mum) but I decide to stick with it thinking it'll be better, this was just a one time thing, something like that.

No, no it wasn't, ladies and gents, I ended up joining a "family" fc, and lemme tell you, it's worse then you think.

The chat was a non stop creepy bile, constantly saying all these weird and cringy things, genuinely cringy too, I'd rather not go into bloody detail, but I'll just say it was all rather creepy. Time passes, I stick with it as the buffs are good, do map parties, help out in content, etc. I eventually join their discord, and it turns out they have a whole channel dedicated to lewd mod pics*, cause I guess being creepy in chat isn't enough, gotta break TOS too. Few weeks pass, and I'm getting fed up, longer I stay, the less I tolerate chat, and the more it feels like I'm being ignored, I end up turning FC chat off and spending most of my time in Eureka so none of them can bother me, about a work week later, and I'm gone.

Stayed in the same server as them for a while, can't remember if I had a cooldown or was broke, but I end up finding out that one of the members I think got found out for abusing their GF or another member????? Idk for certain, take that with a whole bag of salt, what I do remember is that it was something pretty henious and awful. From that point things started to snowball, this was all told to me by former members who left and transferred worlds, and backed up by me snooping around on the lodestone. What ended up happening is that some members ended up having a falling out with the inner circle of more "family" oriented members, some name calling was thrown around is all I can say for certain, and the members who left either transfered DC's like I did or formed a new FC in the server.

So, where are they now? Thankfully, all gone it seems, I can't find the original FC or members on the same server as I made a permanent link for myself, when I try to join the discord it spits back a error like it was deleted.

3rd one is rather underwhelming compared the epic I just typed out, I didn't have a apartment, but I wanted to train my chocobo, I was lucky (unlucky) enough to get a rando FC tell, I asked if I could join for a week just to train my chocobo, they said yes, I join. Mf's keep feeding my Bo' the wrong feed so he can't get a favorite, ended up leaving less then a week later and transferring to Leviathan, been here ever since.

Tbh, it was my fault for even accepting the invite, thinking I'd be lucky to get in and get out, but that FC said nooooo.

TLR Don't join a FC in 14, make a solo one abd just use that.

*For any mods or players worried about the TOS breaking, I was a fool and didn't take any screenshots for proof, so I can't help get them banned, and franky, I'm not even sure if the sreenshots had any identifiable information, considering most have probably left 14 or fantasia'd.

I'm in an FC with a group of 7 friends (most of us met in Japan). One person in this group is largely responsible for getting most of us to give FF14 a shot, and since they've been playing since Heavensward and the rest of us joined late Stormblood/Shadowbringers, they became the unofficial head of the FC. Last week however, for fun we all compared /playtime and found out he's not even one of the top 3 with most logged hours. We were all surprised and teased them for it.
The next day we all log in and see he had made a new rank for himself in the FC: kohai.

I have a few, but here is one that always makes me laugh.

So back in HW I had grown my fc quite a bit and was helping some of my members get through coil and the ex primals. We would make events and ppl would either say yes or no we will be there. I had one girl and her bf in my fc and she would sign up for absolutely everything and never show up for anything. So when I would see her name I would basically just ignore it.

The fun thing is, whenever we would have one of these events she would show up hours after we were done and be all like "ok, I'm here let's go do this!" and I would respond with, um no thats done and over you should have been here on time. And she would get all mad and ragey but w/e. Finally after a few months she asks to speak with me on discord, so we jump into a private room and she just starts screaming at me about how I am a bad fc leader and how it is my fault that she is not getting anything done. I pointed out that we have plenty of events, ones that she signs up for but never shows up to.

She told me that it doesn't matter, because as the leader it was my responsibility to be sure that she and her bf complete all content in the game and since I was unwilling to reform groups hours after our events just so she can be carried through the fights, that I was lazy, selfish and all around a bad guy. She was popping my ear drums with her screaming and crying and I was frankly not having any of it. She then went into fc chat and started talking about how she was starting her own fc and how everyone should leave mine and join hers. In the middle of her rant I just kicked her from the fc.

She did start her own fc, no one left mine and we completed a lot of content before I had to close my fc when real life got busy. (which I ---shameless self plug--- literally just reopened if anyone is interested in joining, send me a tell in game if you are)

Her bf did msg me later apologizing for her behavior, thanking me for all the help we gave them and basically saying he is leaving only because he had to.

Was in one of the most active FCs in the server. It was run by a 24 year old child.

Got upset over EVERYTHING. Then suddenly, after Zid been there maybe three weeks, she kicked everyone, sold the large plot(that everyone pitched in to buy apparently) and took the Gil and stuff and transferred data centers.

She started a FC there, too...

Ok so here goes mine. Joined about 2.2 create an FC with friends. After about 3 weeks 2 of those friends stop playing so me and and remaining guy try to build the FC from the ground up. Get 3 new players fairly fast and here’s where the drama starts. Player A is a female with a massively flirty cat girl (think Balmung) she flirts with player B constantly and they start seeing each other irl everything is smooth sailing for a couple of months. Along comes player C. older guy, owns his own house (I think you can tell where this is going)! New players join, some leave, others join, FC grows etc etc. In this time player A starts flirting hardcore with C. Then cheats on B irl with C and all hell breaks loose. There’s insults flying, pictures posted in discord, threats and screaming and crying what’s app videos the whole nine yards! In the end me and original guy boot all 3 and all the other players leave too because of the drama. Needless to say we learnt a lot from the experience!

A wholesome one with a sad ending
So two of our long term members who met in FF11, fell in love and got married irl found out last year she had cancer. As she currently lived in Sweden with hubby, she unfortunately had to go back to Netherlands where she was from to get treatment and be with her mum. The FC wanted to do something for them both so they all chipped in and brought her a gaming pc so she could log in and chat with him and the FC when she was feeling well enough. Sadly she lost the fight on June 21st but hubby had her passwords so this weekend the whole FC logged in and filmed a tribute to their time in FF with both their characters present. It was really sweet and touching and the only wee hiccup was when a couple of other players wanted in on the shots but they were super understanding when we told them the reason behind the random swath of 60+ players roaming around Eorzea
